BT Tower Revamp With Public Access & Rooftop Pool
May 11th, 2026The BT Tower in London was sold back in 2024 to MCR Hotels for a whopping £275m. Plans are now underway to transform this Grade II listed building into a luxury hotel that is bound to be a popular destination for visitors to the city. Plans are currently being exhibited for those wishing to learn more about the proposed revamp from a working telecoms building to a luxury hotel.
However, we were more interested to learn that the plans include public access to the top of the Tower. Always searching for Views Over London, it would be great to see this iconic building opening its doors the public in the years to come.
BT Tower; Public Access
For those wanting to find out more details around the proposed development, there is an exhibition taking place at the University College London. Open to the public on Saturday 16 May from 11,30am – 1.30pm, you can peruse plans at your leisure.
Interestingly, these proposals include public access to the podium buildings as well as the top of the Tower. Previously, it has been a daunting task to gain entry to this iconic building unless invited by BT officials or more recently via a ticket ballot at Open House Festival. So this new development offers the general public a chance to gain entry & enjoy views across the city from one of London’s iconic buildings.
Within the plans, you will also find details regarding a roof top pool that may also be available to the public. We’ll bring you more details as they come in but if you can’t wait, check out the Roof Top Pool Overlooking Battersea Power Station that won’t cost you as much as you think!
