Magna & Thrill Seekers
Magna makes full use of this former steel mill building by offering some great thrill seeking opportunities for adrenaline fuelled customers! Activities include a zip wire, abseiling, bungee jumping & a free falling power fan. Worth checking out when these activities are running before you visit as these additional priced activities do not run every day.

Magna & Heritage
Whilst Magna is not a steel heritage museum, there are opportunities to undertake guided tours around the museum in the company of a previous steel worker to learn more about the mill & working conditions. Simply ask at the reception desk as you arrive for more information on these tours.
Magna Science Adventure; Tips & Tricks
1. It’s A Wrap; it’s well worth packing a coat, hat & gloves throughout the year. Whilst the interactive areas are heated, the main building is understandably not due to its size.
2. Free Annual Upgrade; all standard tickets purchased at Magna can be upgraded for FREE to a 12 month annual pass. More details available at Magna; Deals & Offers.
3. Dark is Best; whilst customers can initially be daunted by the darkened core to the building, it does help to recreate the feel of it’s origins as a former steel mill whilst adding to the thrill & theming of the adventure activities.
4. Picnics; picnics are welcome Magna with plenty of indoor & outdoor seating available. There are a number of £1 refundable lockers available too located at reception, (although you are never too far away from the car park).
5. Parking; good to see that there are no charges in place for parking at this visitor attraction.
6. Aqua Tek & Playground; whilst all standard Magna tickets include access to the outdoor Aqua Tek & Playground, you can alternatively purchase a reduced priced ticket that covers just the outdoor areas of the setting. Whilst this ticket cannot be upgraded to a full annual pass, it will give you a cheaper day out for a one off visit.
7. Heritage Talk; take advantage of heritage talks about the site given by a former steel worker from the time.
8. Meadowhall; shopping centre is only 2 miles away from this visitor attraction so you might even have time to squeeze in a quick shopping trip!
