Purchase a full priced ticket for the National Space Centre & take advantage of a FREE upgrade that offers unlimited return visits during the year, (some restrictions on dates). Whilst this cannot be used in conjunction with promotional vouchers, it does provide a cost effective method for return visits during the year. If you book your initial visit online, you’ll receive an email confirmation with your membership number that will be required for subsequent visits alongside photo ID. Annual pass return visits must be booked 24 in advance, are subject to availability with additional costs in place to re-visit the planetarium.

National Space Centre; Home Education Rate
Home educators can pick up discounted entry to the National Space Centre when visits take place Monday – Friday during school term term. Tickets must be purchased at least 3 working days in advance by emailing the booking team, (bookings@spacecentre.co.uk) and cannot be upgraded to FREE annual passes.

Look out discounted concessionary rates in place at the National Space Centre including students, seniors, (65+), children, (5-16) & those living with a disability. Concessionary tickets can be upgraded to a FREE annual pass and those under 5 years gain FREE entry.

For groups can take advantage of discounted group tickets if you are willing to pre-book your visit. Groups of 15 or more can take advantage of discounted ticket prices. You will given a time slot for your visit to the Planetarium as you arrive at reception, (or you’ll book a time if your book tickets online). It can be worth requesting a later Planetarium slot to allow you time to tackle the most popular areas of the Space Centre earlier in the day before the queues build. Please note that a Planetarium show is only included within your first visit for those with annual passes. There are additional costs involved for subsequent Planetarium visits.

With plenty of picnic tables available both inside & outside the setting, you’ll find that picnics are welcome at the National Space Centre. We were told the indoor seating by the Boosters Cafe was available for picnics plus the use of specific picnic rooms, (when not in use by school parties). On warmer days, there are picnic tables outside too plus lovely spots along the river that runs behind the National Space Centre. Look out for the lockers area located by the entrance to the Space Centre.
