Merlin Annual Passholders can pick up a 20% discount off standard price waterpark tickets when they book in advance. This offer is available on all valid passes, (Merlin Pass, Premium Merlin Pass & Alton Towers Theme Park Pass) and can be booked online in advance to guarantee entry. You will need to present your annual pass at reception on the day of your visit in conjunction with your pre-booked tickets.
7. Alton Towers Waterpark; Parent & Toddler Ticket
Here’s a chance for young families to take advantage of the is off-peak parent & toddler Alton Towers Waterpark ticket. Running Monday to Friday during school term time, this combined ticket offers entry for 1 parent & 1 toddler, (under 5 years) entry from just £23. This offers young children a quieter experience away from the crowds whilst offering value for money. Worth noting that any additional adults would need to purchase a standard ticket to gain entry & is running on selected dates from February to October 2025. 8. Alton Towers Waterpark; Spectators
Spectator tickets are available from the waterpark reception on the day & cannot be booked online in advance. Priced from £8pp, spectator tickets are subject to availability. Alternatively, as long as you meet waterpark ratios & you are comfortable doing so, you can spectate from Ma Garrita’s bar area within Splash Landings Hotel. Please note that there are strict adult to child ratios that are worth understanding before considering this option.
9. Alton Towers Waterpark Adult/Child Ratios
Worth understanding the strict adult/child ratios in place for the Alton Towers Waterpark as set out below;.
- One adult (aged 16+) to one child aged 4 years or under OR one adult (aged 16+) to two children aged 5, 6 or 7 years.
- All members of the party must be swimming to fulfil the ratio. All children under 8 years of age must have a supervising adult (16+) with them in the water at all times.
- Children aged 8 – 11 year do not fall part of the above ratio, however must be accompanied inside the Waterpark by a responsible adult (aged 16+). The adult can either hold an entry ticket or, if they do not want to swim, they can purchasing a spectator ticket on the day (subject to availability)
- Children aged 12 or over can be unaccompanied.

10. Alton Towers Waterpark; Timeslots
Alton Towers Waterpark now operates a timed entry system, simply select from the available times during the booking process. Worth noting that, during peak busy times of the season, timed sessions may be in place that will access to the waterpark for a minimum of 2 hours. Once the waterpark has reached capacity for number of tickets per time slot/day, the booking process will prevent any further booking being made so you will be unable to select that visit date. If booking during busy times, best to flexible with your dates or book as far in advance as possible.

How much are spectator tickets? Can me and a couple of friends take our 11yr old kids, and not swim, without payin unreasonably?

Hi Can you use Tesco Clubcard vouchers to pay for the water park please?
Hi Kerrion, unfortunately you cannot use Tesco clubcard vouchers for the Alton Towers water park, only at the theme park. The same goes for 2 for 1 vouchers that are only valid at the theme park. Much more difficult to secure discounts at the waterpark. Merlin passholder can gain a 20% discount, parent & toddler sessions offer another good option but might not be relevant. Liz

Hi Wesley, unfortunately the 2 for 1 vouchers widely available for Alton Towers Theme Park do not cover entry to the Splash Landings water park. In previous years we’ve come across an attractive come back deal for those planning to visit both the theme park & water park, (during the theme park operational times) that can be worth looking out for. Hi Miriam, as you are staying at the Alton Towers Resort, worth checking to see if they have any current waterpark offers running for hotel guests. Unfortunately you tend not to see too many offers for the waterpark and 2 for 1 vouchers for Alton Towers theme park cannot be used at the waterpark. There are online discounts if you book online & passholder discounts for those in receipt of a Merlin Pass.

Hi, it’s always worth an ask as I know they can offer cheaper tickets at select times of the year. Are you visiting the theme park too? Previously their come back deal has included cheaper second day tickets for the waterpark so worth an ask at the box office within the theme park to see if this is running again during 2016. Alternatively booking online will secure a small discount.

Hi Helen, topdogdays in independent of Alton Towers Waterpark, (we just let you know where the deals are) but unfortunately we never come across many deals for the waterpark. The standard 2 for 1 vouchers for merlin attractions don’t cover the water park. Passholders can pick up a 20% discount when booked in advance. Those staying at the hotel can often pick up a discounted package. Are you planning a trip to the theme park too? Last year they were running a comeback deal from the theme park for the waterpark but you’d need to see if that is running this year. Other than that it’s the online discount is all I cañ see. Hi Joyce, unfortunately the 2 for 1 vouchers are not valid at Alton Towers Waterpark:( Previously Alton Towers only provided group discounts at the waterpark to parties with 40 or more people but might be worth double checking this. Guests with a disability pay the standard charge but can be accompanied by a free carer is they require assistance. Proof of disability will be requested ‘which may include a Blue Badge, statement of special educational needs from LEA or NHS, or a letter from a medical professional on NHS headed paper’, (taken from Alton Towers Guide for Visitors with Disabilities).

Hi Allison, Alton Towers don’t tend to run as many Waterpark deals as they do at the theme park:( Passholders can gain a 20% discount if they book in advance. Are you visiting the theme park as well? There is a waterpark comeback ticket offer that you can take advantage of – more details available at Alton Towers Come Back Deal. Sometimes, during term time, the Waterpark runs a late entrance offer from 4pm onwards – best to check with the Waterpark directly to see if this is running on the day of your visit.
