Alton Towers Waterpark; Useful Information

Alton Towers also plays hosts to a huge waterpark that works well both as a stand-alone attraction or as an additional activity for those planning a short break to the park.  Whilst sitting within the Splash Landings Hotel,  not too many people are aware that the Alton Towers Waterpark is available to hotel guests & the general public alike.  Entry to the waterpark is separate to your theme park entry tickets but offers an additional add-on for anyone planning a visit to Alton Towers this season. Find out more about this attraction and how you can extend your visit to make use of Alton Towers Waterpark, (more details below).

Alton Towers Waterpark: 2 for 1 Vouchers?

Whilst sitting within one of Alton Towers Hotels, the waterpark remains available to both hotel guests and the general public alike.  There are additional admission charges in place for the waterpark as it sits aside from your theme park entry but works well as either a stand-alone attraction or part of an extended visit to the park.  Many have asked over the years, but unfortunately, you cannot use Alton Towers 2 for 1 vouchers/promotional ticket vouchers towards waterpark entry as these offers are limited to theme park admission only.

Alton Towers Waterpark: Book In Advance

Particularly at popular times of the year, Alton Towers Waterpark can be a busy attraction so it’s worth booking in advance to guarantee entry.  Online booking also offers you significant discounts against standard price tickets so it can be worth planning ahead to secure savings.  Walk up tickets are available but, as these are subject to availability, it can make sense to book in advance to avoid disappointment as there are limits to capacity at the waterpark. Should all these tickets have sold out for a particular day, Alton Towers will prevent any further bookings being taken for that day.  Previously, we’ve also seen limits to time ticketed sessions during peak times of the year.

Alton Towers Waterpark; Spectators

For those that prefer, there are spectator tickets available from the waterpark reception on the day.  Whilst these cannot be booked online in advance, and are subject to availability, they offer a reduced price option for those that can safely leave children to access the waterpark.  It is worth noting that there are strict adult to child ratios in place at the waterpark that must be adhered to before considering spectator options. Alternatively, Ma Garrita’s bar area offers a free option for spectators but you need to consider that this does not offer any access to the waterpark.

Alton Towers Hotel Guests

There is a range of Resort accommodation available for those planning an extended break to the park.  This option allows you to enjoy both the theme park and the waterpark during your stay with a range of overnight options including hotel accommodation, woodland lodges, stargazing pods & luxury treehouses.  Packages include accommodation, breakfast, free parking, evening entertainment and free 9-hole round of Extraordinary Golf.  You can add theme park and/or waterpark entry during the transaction process and look out for any special offers running. More information available over at Alton Towers Short Break Offers.
