Set within extensive grounds Whipsnade Zoo is a popular attraction for adults & children alike with the added advantage of being able to take you car into the setting!  Follow our guide below to help you get the most from your day out at the zoo.

1. That’s The Ticket; there are plenty of ways & means to bring the entrance charges down at Whipsnade.  From online ticket offers to 50% off promotions, there are plenty of savings to be had with more details available at Whipsnade Zoo Deals.

2. Parking; make use of the FREE external car park or take your car into the zoo which can be particularly beneficial for those with mobility difficulties.

3. Pack Your Lunch; great to see that picnics are welcome at Whipsnade Zoo which offer great savings on a day out.

4. Take The Bus; make use of the FREE hop on/hop off bus that runs regularly throughout the setting.  Whipsnade is set within 600 acres of parkland making it a large attraction to explore by foot so worth taking advantage of this free method of transport & save your legs & money.

5. Membership; take advantage of joint Whipsnade & London Zoo Membership that offers unlimited entry to both settings throughout the year.  Gold Membership also comes with a host of additional benefits including  parking perks.

6. Scooters; whilst bikes & roller blades are not allowed at Whipsnade Zoo, you’ll see plenty of children on their scooters.  This is a great way to help younger customers explore the zoo without any complaints about walking!

7. Let Off Steam; children will love the adventure playground and indoor play area (Hullabaloo) that offers a change  of scene.  Whilst Hullabaloo is deemed suitable for children under 10 years, it would seem best suited for younger children.

8. Itinerary; plan ahead and see what’s on as it can be worthwhile working out what you’d like to achieve during your visit.  Whipsnade Zoo is set within extensive grounds, so it’s best to the leg work up front.

9. Additional Extras; face painting & steam train rides are available at extra cost but there is plenty to see & do in the park without the need for additional extras.

10. Lookout Lodges; you can now book accommodation onsite within their Whipsnade Lookout Lodges to take advantage of out of hours tours around the zoo and includes 2 days entry to the zoo.
