The good news is that you don’t need to reserve a table for drinks so works on a walk in basis, (for 6 people or under).

20 Stories Outdoor Lounge Bar

Located 19 floors up of No.1 Spinningfields, 20 Stories rooftop bar allows you to enjoy a cocktail in style with spectacular 360-degree views over the Manchester skyline. There is also restaurant attached if you’re looking to splash out, (reservations required).  If you are looking to eat, worth noting that the restaurant is located inside rather than within the outdoor lounge area.

Dress code is smart casual where you are advised against sportswear, trainers, caps & trainers where entry is at the manager’s discretion. We arrived dressed to impressed although I spotted a few in shorts and jeans during our recent visit.  The entrance is to the side of the building rather than via the main office entrance but staff are happy to direct you if you’re struggling to locate it.  The lift takes you directly to the 19th floor and you can make your way directly to the rooftop area.

The decor is chic & stylish with plenty of seating option available; each with a perfect view over the city.

It’s always interesting to see a city in the midst of a transition so Manchester is well suited for visitors to sit back and enjoy a unique vantage point high in the sky.  Whilst this an upmarket venue, the staff were very friendly during our visit and were happy to serve our drinks whilst we took in the views.
