Derren Brown’s Ghost Train is the latest attraction to open at Thorpe Park and will be a popular draw again this season.  Illusionist Derren Brown has teamed up with Thorpe Park to create this world’s first psychological theme park experience complete with Virtual Reality headsets for that added thrill dimension, (more details below).

Derren Brown’s Ghost Train; More Details

Set within a disused Victorian warehouse, passengers will enter the train carriage via a metal bridge. However, this is no ordinary carriage as it stands 3 metres above the ground, suspended mid-air by metal chains. Riders will be handed a Virtual Reality headset to ‘enjoy’ a 13 minute journey complete with live action performances & 4D effects for a mixture of illusion & reality.

During the journey the 58 passengers within the carriage will disembark for an interactive experience with live actors before returning to complete the on-board adventure.  As your journey changes each time you travel, (there are 12 separate journeys with 2 possible endings), you’ll always be wanting more with riders being asked to remain tight-lipped about their experience to keep that element of surprise for others.
