April 20th, 2022Top Tips To Undertake Disneyland Paris In A Day
Yes, it is possible to undertake Disneyland Paris in a day! Whilst many may feel a trip to Disneyland Paris can only be achieved in conjunction with a few nights at a Disneyland hotel, is is entirely feasible to tackle Disneyland Paris in a day & keep the costs under control.
1. Plan Ahead
Download the park maps & event guide, (that includes parade timings, shows plus character meet & greet times), for the day of your visit. Work out what rides & attractions you want to achieve during your day & be realistic in your expectations. At first glance the park may feel extensive but remember Disneyland Paris is trying to cater for children of all ages. With a little research you’ll quickly find rides/sections of the park that are possibly unsuitable for your party.
Look out for height restrictions on rides to guide you for age appropriate rides.

2. Extensive Park Opening Times
Whilst closing times at Disneyland Paris will vary depending upon the season, they can extend to anything up to 10.30pm. Even during peak times, UK theme parks tend to close their doors by 7pm at the latest so these additional hours at Disneyland Paris can be an added bonus. At peak times, you can have over 12 hours park time offering you ample time to take on the Disney challenge.

3. The Young Ones
Needless to say that younger customers will soon be overwhelmed if you attempt to march them around the park at breakneck speed! You’d be wise to consider a range of attractions & rides that most suit your party rather than being hell bent on completing everything within the park….in this case, less is best!
4. Staying Over
Whilst you may not want to fork out for accommodation on the Disney resort, there is plenty of budget accommodation available for those happy to be further afield. This means you can take advantage of the full day at the park without having take into account travel plans.
5. The Early Bird
If you are looking to achieve Disneyland Paris in a day, then you must arrive significantly earlier than the crowds. Park up & make your way to the ticket booths, (remember you will most likely be parked some distance away), with plenty of time to pick up a good spot at the ticket booths so you are in prime position as the park opens on the day.
The first 60/90 minutes of the day will carry the lightest queues.
6. Extra Magic Hours & Passholders
Select passholders can take advantage of Extra Magic Hours that offers access to rides & attractions before the park opens to the public. This is a great way to get a few of the most popular rides under your belt before queues begin to build at the park.

8. Disneyland Paris; Disney Premier Access
Disneyland Premier Access offers you fastrack access to select popular attractions at the park via a dedicated fast lane. With limited availability this additional cost perk is available on the following rides; Big Thunder Mountain, Peter Pan’s Flight, Ratatouille: The Adventure, Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast, Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain, Star Tours: The Adventures continue, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Autopia
9. Use Single Rider Queues
A Single Rider Queue offers you a method to reduce your queue times by providing individual riders the chance to use up available space on a ride carriage. Single riders are currently available on Crush Coaster, Ratatouille, RC Racer & Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop all within the Walt Disney Studios.
10. Take Your Lunch & Dinner
Contrary to popular belief, it is possible to pack a picnic at Disneyland Paris without any difficulties & a great way to avoid the food queues. There are also guest storage facilities available too should you prefer to drop it off rather than carry it around with you all day.

11. Use the Water Fountains

12. Make Use of Parade Times
For those not interested in the Disneyland parades, you can use this time to take advantage of reduced queue times on the rides. People tend to start leaving the ride areas about 30 minutes prior to the events, (in order to find a good spot on the parade route), leaving queue times significantly shorter.
Alternatively intersperse rides with watching a parade to break up the day plus it is an ideal time to eat your lunch!
13. Watch the Boards
Keep an eye on queue times around the park through the Information Boards dotted around both parks. These provide information on standard wait times to help you plan your day.
14. Balance Your Day
Worth interspersing rides with non-queue attractions throughout the day to give yourself a break. You’ll find some great play areas located within Adventureland, (Pirates Beach & Adventure Isle) & Frontierland, (Pocahontas Indian Village).
With a sprinkle of imagination and pinch of planning, you can enjoy Disneyland Paris in a day and make some serious savings too. Let us know if you have any further tips we can add to our guide.
