On arrival, you will be required to present the promotional voucher/pack alongside your pre-booked e-ticket. The advantage of this half price offer is clearly the savings that can be made at a range of popular Merlin Attractions. However it is worth noting that these savings are against FULL PRICE standard tickets & doesn’t allow for online discounts that you can pick up if you book in advance. As online savings can now be quite substantial it can be worth shopping around to ensure value for money. The main advantage with this offer is that it works for those with an odd number in their party which can be the fall down of the standard 2 for 1 voucher offer.
One main change this year is that Merlin Entertainments have moved away from excluded dates towards minimum ticket allocations for each day. Carex have stipulated within their terms and conditions, that they may limit ticket allocations, subject to a minimum number allocated to every day each attraction is open. This means it is worth booking early to secure popular dates such as weekends and school holidays or be flexible with your date of visit to ensure availability, (more details below).

Carex Half Price Entry Voucher; Excluded Dates/Minimum Allocations
Interestingly a number of these promotional 2 for 1 vouchers are moving towards a minimum daily allocation that are worth taking note of. Each attraction is split into a range of dates; off-peak, super off-peak, peak and super off-peak. Whilst there are still some excluded dates, (notably 3-5 November 23 at Alton Towers), other dates during the season have a minimum daily allocation of tickets available for each promotion. Good to note that off-peak and super off-peak have unlimited availability, although super peak dates only have 25 ticket per day at Alton Towers, 10 tickets per day at Chessington or 50 tickets for SEA LIFE attractions.
Clearly at peak times of the year, you will need to pre-book early to take advantage of this offer or be flexible with your dates.

Hi iv booked 2 children and 1 adult tickets to chessington this Friday but after uploading my receipts of carex products to carex I have still not been sent any voucher codes? Is the carex product itself the voucher and do I take 3 of them to the gate on the day along with the chessington tickets?! It’s so confusing…

On the Carex website it states ‘The pack is your voucher. Pre-book online using the unique code printed on the back of pack label. Hi trying to book on the carex website for the 2nd of September, but it won’t let me booked any dates after June. Does anyone know why?
Hi David, 2023 Carex 2 for 1 vouchers are valid until 31 May 2024, (subject to terms and conditions). Excluded dates include 1-2 January, 11-26 February, 3-5 and 24-26 November, 1-3, 8-10, 15-23 & 28-30 December 2023. With the exception of excluded dates & dates when the attraction is closed, this 2 for 1 promotion has a minimum number of tickets available depending upon whether it is classed peak, off-peak, supper off-peak and super-peak with peak and off-peak times having limited numbers of available tickets but I’d be surprised if all available dates have been redeemed. As you are struggling to see any dates after May, I’m wondering if you have a 2022 voucher?
Hi we are going to book online and we have the Carex soap we have 2 of them and we have 2 adults and 2 children so would own bottle work per adult and child? If I booked online at the same time?

Hi Paige, yes you are correct in thinking you will need 2 separate Carex vouchers to ensure free entry of 2 members of your family. Simply use the stipulated promotional link to book your tickets where you can select the quantity of codes that you are looking to redeem followed by the date of your visit – this will guarantee your admission into the attraction. Hi, we have just bought some carex hand wash woth the vouchers on, but having now checked the back of them, the voucher is only valid until 31.05.21. I see that these dates were extended, but only until the same date this year. But that means they’re still expired? Would these still pass on the gate?
Hi Mark, yes indeed these 2 for 1 vouchers expired back at the end of May 2022. To be honest, I wouldn’t chance it at the gate because if they do deny you entry, you’d be taking the chance of having to pay full price for all your tickets into the park – it could be an expensive option. There are plenty of other 2 for 1 vouchers available but worth checking out excluded dates over the peak summer season, Liz
Hi, me, my partner and 5 year old want to go sea life centre. Which works/works best? Can I use the Kellogs 2 for 1 for me and my partner and the carex half price voucher for my child or use the carex half-price deal on each of us as 3 separate transactions?

Hi Mohammed, although all 2 for 1/half price vouchers state in the t&c’s that they cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer, you have the option of splitting up at the ticket kiosk if needs be. The Kellogg’s voucher offers a free adult ticket with the purchase of one full “On The Day” priced Child or Adult ticket so this perhaps works best for 1 adult and 1 child. The carex voucher offers half price entry to the voucher holder but remember these discounts are against the full ticketed price not the online discounts that are available, Liz
I would like to visit the sea life aquarium. On 15/02 as I have an autistic child and I have documents which prove that with 2nd carrer free and I have also carex for 50% off of the total ticket as I have more than one member of my family want to join with me on that date because my child need them to be with him on that date, j want to know is that offer is that applicable and j can straight away to the gate to book it with the bottles of Carex and I want to know the price for 1 child and 2 adults after carex discount

Hi, my understanding is that a carer can gain free entry at any SEA LIFE attraction when accompanied by a guest with a disability. The carer will need to pre-book entry and upon arrival should present one of the following forms of documentation: DLA/DWP/PIP award letter, a Blue Badge, an International Proof of Disability (ISA (international symbol of access) or similar must be printed on it). You will need to book your child’s ticket online with SEA LIFE or on the day, (subject to availability). Your Carex voucher offers one half price ticket off the standard ticket prices, (not the discounted online ticket prices) and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or concession so might be worth purchasing as a separate transaction. You can now book your voucher ticket online to guarantee entry and ensure your timed entry on the day match. Liz
For the Alton Towers Carex offer do I need to upload my hand wash receipt to get a promotional voucher or is the actual hand wash pack considered to be the voucher?
So I book the half price tickets online through carex.co.uk/merlin and then present the hand wash bottle for each person upon arrival. Is that correct? Or do I need a promotional voucher too?
Hi Vicki, within the terms and conditions of this Carex half price entry offer it states that you must; keep your original hard copy voucher (from the product packaging) safe as you will need to show it on the day of your visit. Furthermore it goes on to say that; you must provide the original on-pack voucher from the product packaging to Admissions on your day of visit. Failure to present and surrender the original on-pack voucher upon arrival at the Attraction will result in an additional charge for one full priced entry ticket for the second ticket issued, hope this helps, Liz
Do I need offer codes for each ticket if being bought on day o pass
Hi Sandra, with this Carex 2 for 2 1 promotion, you will need one voucher per person and per transaction. So if you are a party of 4 people, you will need 2 vouchers etc. Remember it is recommended that you redeem vouchers in advance to guarantee entry to your chosen attraction.

When we tried looking at prices direct the standard price is quoted as £34 bu when we use the link for the kelloggs vouchers it is £53. Is that right?
Is there a better “party” discount than these at the moment for a group of our size?
Hi Mohammed, the one thing to be aware of with the Kellogg’s 2 for 1 voucher is that within the terms and conditions it states that ‘Only one voucher/unique code can be used per person and per transaction.’ This of course doesn’t stop you breaking down your transactions to comply with this restriction but seemingly Alton Towers allocate a limited number of tickets that are available for 2 for 1 vouchers each day so there is the risk that only a limited number of your party could access this offer. It is recommended that 2 for 1 vouchers are redeemed in advance alongside pre-booked tickets to guarantee entry particularly with the size of your party. If you opt for 2 for 1 vouchers, it will be against the full price ticket price, (currently sitting at £53). I cannot see any particular groups discounts for your size of party although Alton Towers indicate that if you are bringing large groups of 100+ people at least twice a year to the Alton Towers Resort, you may be able to set up a Trade account. It might be worth double checking with Alton Towers to see if there are any other options available to you, Liz

Having trouble with carex website…I tried uploading my receipt to get the voucher emailed but just got reverted to homepage, assume it didn’t work. Can I just not take the bottle and receipt to the gate with pre booking? Or have to wait until carex fix this dead link…
Hi Faye, it is recommended that Carex 2 for 1 vouchers be redeemed in advance to guarantee entry. If you opt to pay at the gate on the day, you do take the risk of being turned away if the attraction has already reached capacity. Remember you will still need to present your promotional voucher/pack alongside your pre-booked ticket on the day.
What if you have a stay in the hotel booked with no park e try tickets included. AT have confirmed we have been reserved places in the daily limit, but need to get tickets when we get there. Can we use these vouchers then?
Hi Sarah, that is an interesting point you raise regarding 2 for 1 vouchers at Alton Towers. As you haven’t booked a short break with Alton Towers tickets included, you would have thought that gives you carte blanche to gain entry by any means you wish whether that be clubcard vouchers, free tickets with the sun newspaper or 2 for 1 vouchers. However, as capacity is currently limited at the theme park, and they have reserved places for you, I can’t be sure this will actually be the case. I would suggest you contact Alton Towers directly to double check to avoid any disappointment.

Hi, sorry to hear you are having difficulties – a hard copy means taking the actual voucher from the the promotional Carex soap item with you on the day. Whilst you can just turn up at the gate on the day with your voucher, if the Merlin Attraction of your choice has already reached capacity for voucher-holders then unfortunately you will be turned away. To avoid this, you can book your tickets and redeem your voucher in advance. You will find details on the Carex 2 for 1 voucher on how to do this. It is difficult to provide a length of time but I would suggest the more popular dates, (summer season, Scarefest etc) will require booking as soon as possible to guarantee entry, Liz
