This upgrade secures you standard entry to the park on a date that is excluded under your pass terms & conditions where you’ll need to present your annual pass and restriction ticket on the day. Prices increase for more popular Scarefest dates and are subject to availability. Remember that scare mazes are in addition to your theme park entry.

There are age restrictions in place for the horror mazes so worth looking out for these. Questions and Comments

Hi, just wondering how we pay for the 2for1 ticket? Do we pay at gates or online?
Hi Jessie, promotional 2 for 1 tickets for Alton Towers, particularly during peak times such as Scarefest. Always worth booking in advance to avoid disappointment, Liz
How on earth do you do the mazes separately only want to do 2
Hi Craig, I can only see the multi/combi ticket available online for Alton Towers Scarefest mazes. I’m not sure if they offer single entry on the day at the park although there is a risk that they sell out? Might be worth double checking with Alton Towers as we at Topdogdays are independent of all visitor attractions,(we simply let you know where the deals can be found), Liz
i have bought tickets for the 30th will be there still be some scarefest stuff there? or do they take everything down
Hi Jack, Scarefest at Alton Towers is running 7, 8, 13-31 October this year so it’ll still be in full swing on 30 October, hope that helps, Liz
Can I use a 241 voucher from a cereal box on the 7th October 2023
Hi Elizabeth, in relation to the Kellogg’s 2 for 1 voucher for Alton Towers Scarefest, the 7 & 8 October 23 are both deemed super peak dates so you can use promotional vouchers on these dates. However, worth noting that promotional tickets are limited to 220 ticket for each of these days at Alton Towers so you’ll need to book in advance to ensure availability. If these ticket allocations are already taken, then you won’t be able to use the voucher unless Alton Towers release further tickets for this promotion, Liz
Hi,
Does anyone dress up for this event we are coming on sunday and the kids fancied dressing up.
Hi Adele, yes you’ll find people around the park dressed up for Halloween, enjoy your visit, Liz
hiya , i have an annual pass do i get any of the scares free? or discounted? thankyou!!
Hi Stuart, best to pre-book your visit with an annual pass and you can find more information over at Alton Towers Passes & Scarefest. Scare attractions are not included within your theme park entry and will incur a discounted additional cost, Liz
Hi can Kellogg 241 vouchers be used during Scarefest 2017 or the dairy milk one??? Thankyou
Hi Katie, yes you can use the Kellogg’s 2 for 1 voucher at Alton Towers Scarefest to gain entrance, (remember the horror mazes are an additional charge and the 2 for 1 voucher is not valid for the mazes just admission).
Hi, I have looked everywhere and noticed that it doesn’t mention anywhere about having access with a Blue Peter badge. Can I use this badge for general admission and just pay for one scare maze? Thank you
Hi Hattie, unfortunately you cannot use this Blue Peter badge offer at Thorpe Park from 21-31 October:(
Hi Hattie, my apologies I’ve just realised that you are looking at Alton Towers! Yes you can use the blue Peter badge offer at Alton Towers during Scarefest subject to capacity limitations at the park, (just get there early). You will both need to pay standard entry chargrs for the scarefest mazes as this is not covered in the 2 for 1 voucher, (just your entry into the park is covered by a 2 for 1 offer).
I have a cadbury 241 voucher can this be used for entrance to Alton towers as I would like to come up on thursday the 27th as I am travelling up from South Wales and don’t want to get hit with having to pay full price as there are 2 of us. thank you
Hi Jon, the Cadbury 2 for 1 vouchers are valid for use at Alton Towers during Scarefest. As with all 2 for 1 vouchers, they are subject to capacity limitations at the park so best getting there early to ensure entry.
How much are scarefest tickets and how can I buy in advance
Hi, you can can indeed purchase Scarefest tickets now from Alton Towers as tickets have been released. Worth booking early as these are popular dates at the park with tickets available from £43pp, Liz
Hi, Alton Towers have indeed released the Scarefest tickets for 2023 with tickets available from £44pp. Tickets do sell out for popular dates so worth booking in advance to guarantee entry, Liz
We were given free
Tickets when we attended the park after the smiler incident. Are these valid to use today, we have purchased scare maze tickets separately?
Hi Amy, Topdogdays is independent of Alton Towers so I wouldn’t be able to advise you on your specific query but suggest you contact Alton Towers directly regarding valid dates of use for this ticket, sorry:(
Hi can we use the 241 vouchers from Kellogg’s on the 7th November fireworks night?…
Hi Helen, my understanding is that you can use the Kellogg’s Adults Go Free vouchers during the fireworks at Alton Towers. All 2 for 1 vouchers are subject to capacity limitations at the park so best to get there early:)
hello can I use the 241 voucher that is currently being printed in the sun for entrance to Alton towers park on the 30th October, I already have scare fest tickets but didn’t realise I had to pay to get into the actual park……duhh!!
Hi Selina, yes you pay an additional charge for the horror mazes at Alton Towers on top of your theme park entrance charges:(
thank you, so will I be OK to use the sun 241 voucher for entrance to the park on that date? ?
Yes, there are no specific exclusion dates within The Sun 2 for 1 voucher issued during October for Alton Towers, (you can see the full terms & conditions here; merlinentertainments.biz/terms/SunOct15). Just take note that 2 for 1 vouchers do not guarantee entry and are subject to capacity limitations at the park so best to get there early:)
Hi,
I have 4 tickets to the scarefest for tomorrow night. Can I use my 2for1 voucher for the £18 after 4pm price to enter the theme park?
Hi James, I like your thinking but unfortunately you cannot combine a 2 for 1 voucher with any other discounted ticket. 2 for 1 vouchers can only be redeemed with an accompanying person paying the full on-the-gate price ticket.
Hi. We were given free tickets when we last visited as many of the rides were shut. We’re hoping to use them tomorrow but realised it’s scarefest. Can we still use then as they state they can’t be used for ‘special events and concerts’. Thanks, Suzanne.
Hi Suzanne, within the terms & conditions of the 2 for 1 vouchers there is usually an exclusion on special events & concerts. In the case of 2 for 1 vouchers, this does not exclude Scarefest dates. However, as this is slightly different in that these are free tickets issued directly by Alton Towers, it might be wise to contact Alton Towers directly just to double check before making any firm plans.
hi, is there any 2 for 1 vouchers just for adults that also includes the scare fest? the only ones I’ve seen are for adults and children. thanks.
Hi Tonia, the Kellogg’s Adults Go Free vouchers are valid at Alton Towers over scarefest and offers 1 free adult entry when accompanied by a full paying child or adult ticket on the day of entry.
Hi there’s 4 of us coming on 31st October 2015. We want to do the rides and the late night rides and scarefest mazes etc. What’s gonna be cheapest way and can you use any 2 for 1 vouchers
Hi Jennifer, entrance to the mazes during Scarefest at Alton Towers is additional to theme park entry into the park. Alton Towers currently offer a 3 scare maze entry ticket for £20pp. The rides are of course included within your theme park ticket. Both the Kellogg’s Adults Go Free vouchers & Birds Eye voucher are valid during Scarefest but are subject to capacity limitations & do not guarantee entry. Best to arrive early if you are looking to use a valid 2 for 1 voucher.
Hi I’m looking on going Alton towers on 18th October with partner and 2 children and have 2 4 1 vouchers how much will it cost me?
Hi Mark, full price on-the-gate tickets are just over £50pp, (12 years plus). Child full price tickets (4-11 years), are only slightly reduced at around £45pp. Children under 4 years are free of charge. Enjoy your day:)
Hey I am going to use the 241 fri 31st just wondering because we have to use voucher there an can’t use it online doesn’t it cost more for the one ticket anyway so it’ll be 69 pounds and since we have to buy scare maze an tower of terror on top which is 15 pound each don’t that work out the same as buying two tickets on the actual Alton towers website would appreciate the help thanks.
Hi Alisha, yes you are right – if you use a 2 for 1 voucher you do have to pay the more expensive price ticket, (the on-the-gate price) & cannot take advantage of online discounts. Your 2 for 1 voucher cannot be used for the additional cost of the maze tickets:(
Hi I’m Cheryl me and a few other friends are thinking about coming to the scarefest this weekend.just wondered if we get half price entry on one packet of walkers per one person
Hi Cheryl, yes the Walkers half price vouchers for Alton Towers are valid for Scarefest. Unfortunately, it does state in the terms & conditions that ‘only one voucher can be used per person & per transaction’:(
I bought return tickets earlier in the year, are these valid for scare
fest?
Hi Carl the any day £15 come-back tickets for Alton Towers are valid during scarefest, (but not fireworks).
Hi, me and 3 friends were thinking about coming down to alton towers next week (during scarefest) but we’re wondering, is it still possible to get any ‘adult free entry’ tickets from kellogs or somewhere else, will we be able to use these, and is it more expensive during the scarefest thing? Thanks.
Hi Mathew, yes you can still pick up Kelloggs Grown Ups Go Free vouchers on promotional packets of cereals and are valid at Alton Towers during Scarefest:)
Awesome, thank you very much!
are the rustlers 2 for1 vouchers valid during scarefest ???
Hi Pete, as far as I can see the Rustlers 2 for 1 voucher for Alton Towers is valid until 7 November:)
I have a walkers half price voucher and on it it says ‘we’re sorry but this voucher cannot be used with any other promotion…’ Can I still use it at the scarefest?
Hi Mary, yes you can use half price vouchers from promotional single packs of Walkers Crisps at Alton Towers over the scarefest period. When they say they cannot be used with any other promotion they mean you cannot use this voucher in conjunction with any other offer, discount or online ticket concession.
Hi I have Kellogg’s 241 and 241 from the paper. Both say valid until the end of season. Can I use these tomorrow? Thanks
Hi Sarah, the 2014 Kelloggs Grown Up vouchers are valid at Scarefest at Alton Towers. With your paper 2 for 1 voucher, you will need to check for any exclusion dates on the full terms & conditions.
Hi- I have a voucher from a Fairy washing powder box which states “1 pack= £24 off entry* x2. Can this be used to attend the scarefest? If so how does this work? is does say half price adult entry- but an adult entry is more than £24. Please can you advise? Thanks
Hi Sameena, yes you can use the Half Price Proctor & Gamble voucher at Alton Towers during Scarefest. Within the terms & conditions it states that ‘HALF PRICE ADULT ENTRIES to Alton Towers Theme Park depending on the pack bought (Saving of £24.60 on full value ticket of £49.20 per half price ticket entry).’ Simply take the voucher with you on the day of your visit and redeem at the ticket booths.
Hi,
How about free entry to Scarefest with a Blue Peter badge? Will that be ok?
Many thanks
Hi Nigel, yes Blue Peter Badge Holders can pick up free entry to Alton Towers up to 7 November 2014 for this season. Badge Holders will need to present both the Blue Peter Badge & Badge Winner’s Card at the ticket booths on the day of your visit and must be accompanied by a ‘ticket-bearing adult’ to secure free entry.
Hi can you use the kelloggs free adult entry when accompanied by a seperate adult or child on the fireworks night 9.11.14 at alton towers? Thanks
Hi Joanne, unfortunately you cannot use the Kelloggs Grown Up Go Free vouchers at Alton Towers for the firework events on 8 or 9 November:(
I have a voucher off daz washing powder for half price x2 can these be used during scarefest?
Hi Josh, on the terms & conditions of the Procter & Gamble half price voucher it states that the voucher ‘is valid until 01.06.15 at the Alton Towers Resort excluding Theme Park closed dates (10.11.14-13.02.15 and 23.02.15-20.03.15).
i have a 2 for 1 good fellas pizza offer and was looking to use it on saturday 25th october during scarefest will it be valid
Hi Andrew, in the terms & conditions for this 2 for 1 pizza offer, it simply states that ‘Voucher is valid to 01.06.15 excluding special events and concerts’. Scarefest is not usually deemed a ‘special event’ so should be fine:)
I have the Kelloggs Grown Ups go free Voucher, can I use it for the Scarefest this year?
Hi Tasha, yes you can use the Kelloggs Grown Ups Go Free vouchers during Alton Towers Scarefest this year:)
Hi, Last year I used my tesco clubcard vouchers to pay for us to go to Scarefest. We are wanting to do the same this year. Can I still use them? 🙂
Hi Nicola, I contacted guest services at Alton Towers and they have confirmed that clubcard reward tokens are valid at Alton Towers during Scarefest.
Hi Myself and my partner are planning on spending Saturday 18th October at Alton towers, We have a “adult free with every paying adult” coupon from a cereal box. When we decided to go to Alton towers we did not relies that it was the Scare fest time. I have looked on the coupon and all its said’s is that the coupon cannot be used with any other offer and that it is valid until June 2015. I’m guessing that we will still be able to use it but I would just like to clarify this so we don’t get a nasty shock when we pay. 🙂
Hi Daisy, yes Scarefest will be underway at Alton Towers on the 18 October, (in fact the day of your visit is the first day of Scarefest). You might want to take note that, in previous years, Scarefest has been the amongst the most popular few weeks of the theme park season so it is likely to be busy. In terms of your voucher, I am assuming this is a Kelloggs Grown Ups Go Free voucher that offers 1 free adult entry when accompanied by a full on-the-gate price ticket for a child or adult? Yes, this voucher is valid on 18 October:)
I have a tesco 241 entry that I want to use on 1st Nov for scattered! It has no date restrictions for this day but does say cannot be used at special events. Can I use it? Tried using the web address to find terms but doesn’t like to a page.
Emma, the only terms & conditions for the 2 for 1 Tesco voucher that I can see states that the voucher is valid at Alton Towers until 8 November 2013. Generally ‘special events’ tends to relate to firework nights, concerts etc rather than Scarefest dates.
I have a load of 2-4-1 tickets for Alton Towers and were planning to go on Sunday for Scarefest – can i use these tickets? or are they not accepted as it says on the back that these cannot be used for special events?
Thanks.
Shauna, each 2 for 1 voucher for Alton Towers has different terms & conditions so I can’t generalise as to whether your vouchers will be valid on the day you wish to visit. Check the terms & conditions on the voucher for any dates that are excluded. Often they give you a website address for full terms & conditions so worth checking that too. Usually special events relate to concerts, corporate days etc and unless the voucher specifies that it is not valid during Scarefest or particular dates during Scarefest, you should be fine.
