Alton Towers; Parent Q Share

The Parent Q Share Pass at Alton Towers is FREE of charge & a great queue busting method. It offers adults visiting with young children a chance to experience the thrill rides without having to queue twice. This simple trick allows young families to get more from their day by minimising their queues.

This Parent Q Share Pass is valid for those visiting Alton Towers with children under the age of 12 years. Whilst it cannot be booked in advance, the pass can be collected from Alton Towers on the day via Guest Services or Resort Box Office. Both parents/carers will be issued with a Parent Q Share Pass and advised which rides are participating in this scheme.

This is how it works in practice; Parent 1 will queue for the main thrill rides using the standard queue line. They should make make staff aware that they are utilising a Parent Q Share Pass so it can be stamped. Parent 2 then takes the pass to the Single Rider Queue or the Fastrack queue line. Simply show your pass to ride operatives to access swifter entry to the ride.

Alton Towers; Changes To The Parent Q Share

Previously, Parent 2 made use of the fastrack entry for EACH ride but now, if there is a Single Rider Queue, they will be directed to use this rather than the fastrack entrance. Parent 2 can only use the Fastrack entrance if their selected ride does not have a Single Rider Queue.

Parent Q Share is only available on selected rides at the park including the following;

  • The Curse at Alton Manor
  • Congo River Rapids
  • Wicker Man
  • Nemesis Reborn
  • Rita
  • Hex

Alton Towers this year have stated the Parent Q Share is not available on the following rides as guests can use the Single Rider Queue; Galactica, Oblivion, Spinball Whizzer, Th13teen, The Smiler & Toxicator.

5. With Parent 2 now being directed, where available, to the Single Rider Queue rather than the Fastrack entrance, you may find your wait times will now increase for selected rides.  We are now seeing Single Rider Queues running on Galactica, Spinball Whizzer, Oblivion, Thirteen & Smiler.

5. Families can pick up lost wristbands for young children for that added layer of security.  If your child is on the cusp of those important height markers, you can save yourself some trouble by having them height checked at Guest Services in Towers Street.  Those over the mark will be provided with a verified height wristband to avoid any potential disagreements with ride attendants.
