Picnics are welcome at Warwick Castle & offer you an easy way to keep the costs down during your visit to this popular Merlin Attraction.  With 64 acres of grounds, there is plenty of great places to enjoy a picnic whilst you explore Warwick Castle. Seating is limited to mainly around the central courtyard so worth bringing along a picnic blanket for convenience & making use of the use of the extensive green space around the castle.

There are a number of lockers available situated just outside Warwick Castle that are available for visitors to use.  Lockers allow you to store your belongings/picnic away that avoids having to carry bulky items with you all day. Warwick Castle lockers can be found in the Stables car park, (not the standard car park found in Stratford Road), and are charged at £2 per use.

Access to the Stables car park is directly across from the main castle entrance into Warwick Castle where the lockers are located next to the car park entrance/exit.  If you have parked in the standard car park, simply walk towards the Warwick Castle entrance and look for the archway leading to the Stables car park. Lockers are subject to availability.

Lockers are suitable for hand luggage sized cases and rucksacks. There is a non-refundable £2 charge in place for lockers so you’ll need an additional £2 each time your locker is opened. There are 32 lockers available in total, (20 small & 12 large) with the following dimensions;

Small locker; 32cm(w) x 40cm(h) x 40cm(d)

Large locker; 32cm(w) x 80cm(h) x 40cm(d)

Whilst there are only a limited number of lockers available, due to their hidden location, they tend to be available should you wish to store your picnic away for later in the day.

In the warmer months, there is a water bottle refill facility behind the courtyard refreshments, alternatively please ask at any food and drink outlet for a refill.
