Whilst I’m not usually one for additional cost activities at visitor attractions, I do like the Wax Hands available at Madame Tussauds London. Here’s an opportunity to join the stars & see yourself in wax plus it’s perfect centre piece for the dinner table! You choose the hand pose & wax colour with the process taking around 15 minutes from start to finish although you’ll need to factor in wait time for this popular add-on experience. .

1. Wax Hands are an additional charge activity that is not included within your entrance ticket fee. Look out for Merlin Pass discounts that are available on request. There is a minimum age requirement (8 years & above) & medical conditions in place with this activity. – guests need to be lean safely lean over the unit without breaching health and safety regs.
2. A single wax hand is priced from £20pp or opt for a combined single hand and light pod from £29pp. There are also preservation kits available to purchase from £3pp, (2024 prices)
3. The wax hands kiosk is situated relatively quickly into your experience, (not long after the awards party and before the royal palace on the top floor). As Madame Tussauds London isn’t a visitor attraction you can wander back & forth freely, you will need to make a decision as you arrive at the kiosk.
4. Queues can quickly build for this popular additional cost activity. Worth noting that, once through to the beginning of the queue, the wax hand process takes around 15 minutes in duration.
5. Whilst offensive gestures are out, there are plenty of suggested hand poses available in a range of colours.
6. You can purchase light pod for an additional charge. You will need to carry your hand around the setting once completed as there is no system in place to collect at the end of the tour.

Do you have glitter colours for wax hand
Hi Jasmine, we at Topdogdays are independent of Madame Tussauds, but from my last visit I can only recall different coloured wax but not sure on the glitter option.

Hi Claire, the wax hands service is only available within Madame Tussauds London, (also Blackpool Madame Tussauds), and is addition to your entry charges. As you make your way around the attraction, you’ll come across the wax hands kiosk where you can simply join the queue for this added service. A great add-on to your day at Madame Tusssauds:)
