The London Eye; Storage Facilities

Set in the heart of London, the London Eye remains a popular visitor attraction although luggage & suitcases are not permitted on your ride. Once you’ve managed to track down Cheap Tickets to the London Eye then it’s time to turn your mind to practical matters such as luggage storage options.  Not many people realise that the London Eye has an on-site secure storage facility available for large bags, suitcases, backpacks & pushchairs.

London Eye; Left Luggage Facilities

Charged storage facilities are now in place at The London Eye as luggage and suitcases are not permitted on this iconic attraction.  Previously visitors made use of left luggage facilities at Waterloo Station although this can prove both expensive & use up valuable time during your day. The good news is that the London Eye now offers in-house storage options for guests with luggage & young families with pushchairs.  Whilst there are small charges in place for these storage facilities, they are substantially cheaper than left-luggage facilities found at train stations & free for use for those with pushchairs.

Find out more details below on how to make use of these left luggage facilities including location, charges & penalty overnight surcharges to take note of.

London Eye; Storage Facilities

Left luggage facilities for the London Eye can be found within the main ticket office of The London Eye. Tucked away at the the top end of the ticket office, you’ll need to purchase your storage ticket before heading over to the storage area. Simply make your way over to the customer service staff to let them know you’d like to make use of the left luggage facility.

Currently priced at £5 per item, this is substantially cheaper than making use of the left luggage facilities at Waterloo Station. Whilst there are no Merlin Pass discounts available on left luggage charges, it does offer value for money for those visiting London. Items must be collected by the end of the day with some hefty overnight surcharges in place, (around £25 per item). The good news is that young families can make use of left luggage facilities to store pushchairs & buggies FREE of charge.

With your ticket(s) purchased, you will be directed over to the left luggage area that can be found at the far end of the ticket office. Hand your luggage & ticket over to the staff member where your bags will be subject to security checks & scanners.  Staff will inform you of closing times on the day of your visit that you’ll need to take note of to avoid costly overnight surcharges.

London Eye; Food & Drink/Pushchairs

Food & Drink; unfortunately no food & drink is allowed within your capsule, (unless served by staff from the London Eye during an experience package), and bags are searched before embarkation.  However you do have options to store belonging in the left luggage facilities & enjoy your  packed lunch later in the day.

Buggies & Pushchairs; for those planning a trip with young children, you’ve the option of  bringing  a pushchair/buggy onto the pod; it will need to be fully closed or folded before joining the boarding queue.  Alternatively you can leave it FREE of charge at the left luggage facilities.
