Take advantage of this 2 for 1 promotion or 1/3 off ticket offer for top visitor attractions to help you make some easy savings on a day out around the UK. Often you can pick up promotions for settings that may not normally offer discounts simply by travelling by train. This special offer includes popular visitor attractions such as the London Eye, Cutty Sark, Kew Gardens, Madame Tussauds, St Paul’s Cathedral & the Tower of London to name but a few. There are plenty of attractions participating in this promotion further afield too such as SEA LIFE, Edinburgh Dungeon, Thinktank Birmingham & Brighton Royal Pavilion.
Simply travel by train to the attraction of your choice having pre-booked your attraction in advance via the designated link. Your 2 for 1 or money off promotion is valid against full price on-the-day tickets and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer such as online discounted offers. Take note of any restrictions on dates that this voucher can be used including dates of expiry.
This is not always a 2 for 1 offer as we’ve seen other promotions running such as a free child places, 3 for 2 deals or even a saving off standard price tickets such as a third off tickets at Cadbury World. Worth checking out the actual number of tickets available within this 2 for 1 promotion, particular at popular times of the year. For select Merlin Attractions such as Alton Towers or LEGOLAND Windsor, the ticket allocation can be minimal during peak and super peak times of the year, sometimes limited to just 6 tickets per day. There are still some excluded dates in place for SEA LIFE attractions, (excluding SEA LIFE London), The Dungeons, Madame Tussauds & Shrek’s Adventure! London.
Valid Train Travel?
We’re often asked about what constitutes valid train travel when using this 2 for 1 promotion offer. We understand that this offer is valid in conjunction with National Rail orange paper tickets, (advance, anytime, off-peak), e-tickets showing a National Rail logo & travelcards purchased from a national Rail station. Furthermore eTickets showing the National Rail symbol, season tickets, (7-day, monthly or longer) & gold record cards, (when shown in evidence as a season ticket held on a smartcard) are also valid for use. Look out too for National Rail tickets for the Gatwick Express, Stansted Express, National Rail issued smartcards & rail staff leisure cards that can all be used alongside this offer.
However the following types of tickets CANNOT be used with this 2 for 1 promotion; Oyster cards, travelcards issued by London Underground or DLR stations, freedom passes, Heathrow Express tickets, Eurostar tickets, eTickets where the National Rail logo is not present or tickets sold in-flight, (or mobile) for Standard Express or Gatwick Express where the National Rail logo is not present.
For ease of use, the rule of thumb is a valid ticket will included the National Rail symbol, (double arrow) so look out for that.

2 for 1 Vouchers; Valid Dates
If you’ve purchased a valid single ticket or your return ticket is valid for one day, then you can use your 2 for 1 on the day of travel. If you have purchased a valid return ticket, then you can use your 2 for 1 on any day on or between your outward & return dates. That gives you some great flexibility so, for example, if you arrived on a Thursday and return on the Sunday, then you can use this promotion on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
One other thing to consider is that ticket should show that you have travelled to the attraction by train. Some attractions are directional about the station you should travel to, (Cadbury World states your train ticket should be to Bournville), for the 2 for 1 London offer your ticket could say ‘London Terminals’ or the train station nearest to the attraction itself. Simply select your attraction, download & print a voucher OR buy tickets online, travel by train & present tickets/vouchers & train tickets on the day of your visit. Hi Amanda, thanks for your your query regarding cheap ticket options for SEA LIFE. Good to know that children under 2 years go free of charge at SEA LIFE Birmingham. If you are travelling by train to Birmingham, then you can take advantage of the National Rail Promotion that offers 1/3 off standard price tickets for SEA LIFE. There is currently a local resident promotion running for those with any of the following postcodes; B, WV, WS, DY, ST, TF that offers 40% off standard price tickets for visits taking place by 31 March. There were a number of vouchers running last year should you have managed to stock up on promotional items of Kellogg’s Great Days Out or Cadbury’s Big Ticket Savings that remain valid for selected dates this year. Hi Paul, unfortunately the View from the Shard is not currently participating in the National Rail 2 for 1 promotion. Tesco shoppers can redeem clubcard loyalty vouchers against View from the Shard admission charges – you can even top up with another payment method if you haven’t got enough clubcard vouchers. Alternatively, you could try Aqua Shard that’s located on level 31 where you can have drinks, afternoon tea or meals that all come with a fantastic view. Hi, not sure when you are looking to visit the London Eye but just to let you know it is closed 9-22 Jan 23 for annual maintenance. Unfortunately, the London Eye no longer offers a discounted senior ticket but you could make use of 2 for 1 vouchers. A 2 for 1 voucher offers 1 person free entry when accompanied by an adult paying the full standard price ticket, (not in conjunction with online ticket discounts). Most 2 for 1 vouchers require you to book online in advance. You can do this by selecting the standard ticket option and finding the promotional code tab at the top of the box – here you would enter your 2 for 1 code, (found on promotion packets of Kellogg’s items etc). Alternatively, as you are travelling by train, you could make use of a 2 for 1 offer running by daysoutguide – again you would need to book in advance and watch for excluded dates, hope that helps, Liz

Hello we are grandparents and want to take our 2 boy’s age 10 and 11 out for day trips during the school holliday. We are botj pensioners and would really appreciate any help. Hi Linda, whilst Sea Life Birmingham do not offer a concessionary rate foe seniors, you can take advantage of 2 for 1 vouchers to keep the costs down. Look out for 2 for 1 vouchers on Kellogg’s cereals that are valid at Sea Life Birmingham on the 25 July, (not valis 27 July – 21 August). You will need 2 seperate vouchers where the unique code is found on the inside of the packaging. I would suggest booking in advance as there are seemingly only a limited number of tickets each day for voucher holders. Hope that helps, Liz
