NEW Thorpe Park Coaster Hyperia

Billed as the tallest & fastest coaster in the UK, Hyperia opened at Thorpe Park back in 2024. Standing at a mighty 236ft tall, this latest coaster is hitting speeds in excess of 80mph & is undoubtedly a huge draw to the park. Whilst the queues quickly build for Hyperia, there are a few ways to bypass the queues – some that won’t even cost you any money!  Follow our tips & tricks below to help you bypass the bulk of the queues.

Thorpe Park Hyperia

Hyperia offers a unique experience for those with a head for heights and is the latest coaster to hit the park. Sitting a mighty 10 metres taller than Stealth, it tops the previous tallest coaster record held by Blackpool Pleasure Beach since 1994. Located upon the former Old Town Area, (remember Loggers Leap), here’s a chance for visitors to soar along 995m of twisted track & experience weightlessness like never before.

The good news for younger visitors to the park is that the height restriction for Hyperia sits at just 1.3 metres. Rather than the standard 1.4m that applies to many of the other thrill coasters at the park, Hyperia works for younger guests keen to start their coaster adventure.

Hyperia; Single Rider, (FREE)

Clearly Hyperia is a popular ride at the park where queues can build throughout the day. For those looking to get ahead of the queues, look out for the Single Rider Queue that is available free of charge. By taking up available space within ride carriages, you can access Hyperia via a separate entrance.  Whilst Thorpe Park stresses that shorter queue times are not guaranteed, our experience is that it does reduce wait times. However, the downside to consider, is that you won’t experience the thrill of the rides with friends & family.

Hyperia; Fastrack One Shot

A Fastrack One Shot offers you a single Fastrack entry to a particular ride & is only available on the day. This can give you a head start on a popular ride such as Hyperia that then allows you to concentrate on other main thrills at the park. Prices vary throughout the season and are available to purchase via the Chessington app or Fastrack kiosk at the park. Hyperia; Parent Swap Passes, (FREE)

Young families can take advantage of a Parent Swap Pass that allows both parents/carers & a child to ride without having to queue twice. Parent 1 & child queues & rides as normal but the second parent can use the Fastrack entrance to bypass the queues. Hyperia; Platinum Fastrack

This Platinum package offers you unlimited 19 Fastracks to use of a range of rides at the parking including Hyperia. Fastrack tickets are in addition to theme park rides and this Platinum Fastrack is certainly not a cheap option. However for those prioritising convenience over costs, then you’ll certainly cover the rides without the bulk of the queues.
