Hi in Birmingham got a 3 year old grandson like to take him out for day cheaply or at least not very expensive and l don’t drive
Hi Josie, try the Birmingham Thinktank Science Garden that offers free entry from 3pm each day that is full of unusual interactive play features, (you can find more details within this article). How about BBC Birmingham’s visitor centre, (located on level 3 at the Mailbox not be be confused with the paid BBC tour) that offers free entry where you can have a go at presenting the weather, enjoy interactive exhibits and look through the viewing window to see what is currently being filmed. Enjoy free entry to Birmingham Museums & At Gallery and enjoy family art sessions for just £2 per child, (running Sat & Sun 4 Feb – 26 March from 11am – 1pm). Alternatively try the Birmingham Library that has a wonderful children’s area with plenty of cozy corners and look out events running specifically for pre-school children, (usual term time).
Hi there, please could you tell me on days out in south Wales. Many thanks, there are some brilliant days out that you have suggested but they are too far away. We’re also a family of six so it’s always very expensive.
Hi Gemma, my apologies as I do need to ensure a more geographical balance within the deals for February half term so will look to add over the coming days. For now have you tried The Big Pit near Abergavenny that offers a fantastic free tour 90 metres below the ground? The National Museum in Cardiff offers free entry and family trails around the setting that can be a lot of fun. Those that live in Cardiff can apply for a ‘Castle Key’ that offers free admission to Cardiff Castle for 3 years, (£5 administration charge). The National Botanic Garden of Wales is running a Kids Go Free offer over February half term with a range of family activities taking place. All the best, Liz
Great to know what offers/deals are about during the holidays. It can be so expensive to have days out, to good to know what is available. Keep up the good work!
You have just made my day Lyn! Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us some feedback, much appreciated. School holidays can be a costly time and good to know where some savings can be made if you are planning a day out with the kids:)
what about attractions up north
Hi Mavis, I am interested in your feedback & would like to know a little more if possible – are you referring specifically to the North of England or perhaps Scotland, I wasn’t sure? We do strive to cover top visitor attractions around the UK but a timely reminder never goes amiss:)
