Trooping The Colour; Ticket Ballot

The ticket ballot has now closed for 2026 but we’ll bring you more details as they come in for Trooping the Colour ballot for 2027. 

Trooping the Colour takes place each year in celebration of the reigning monarch’s official birthday. First performed during the reign of King Charles II back in the 17th century, this historic event now takes place each year in June. With over 1,400 parading soldiers accompanied by 300 musicians & 200 horses, this extravagant military parade is watched by many members of the Royal Family where tickets are always in demand.

To allow for a fair distribution of tickets to the public a ballot runs each year, so for those visiting/living in London, find out how you can enter the ballot for a chance to purchase tickets. The online ballot is now open until midday on Friday 27 March 2026 with successful entries being selected & notified by 30 March 2026.

Trooping The Colour Ticket Ballot

Although King Charles’s actual birthday is in November, the Trooping the Colour marks the official birthday of the Sovereign that takes place in June each year. Running on Saturday 13 June 2026, the ticket ballot is now open to the public. Offering you a chance to secure tickets to this popular event, the online ticket ballot is now open until 27 March 2026.

Simply apply for tickets, via the ballot, where successful entries will be notified by the 30 March 2026.  Tickets are priced at £10 for a standing ticket, £30 for a seated ticket & £30 for ticket accommodating wheelchairs. Seated tickets can only be purchased by online ballot, standing & wheelchair tickets will be available to purchase from March 2026.
