Picnic Spots at Whipsnade Zoo

A popular picnic spot for families at Whipsnade Zoo can be found literally next door to the adventure playground. This extensive play park is ideal for children with a range of play equipment suitable for children up to the age of around 12 years that gives grown ups a well deserved rest.  There are a limited number of picnic tables available around the park and plenty of room on the grassed area to the side if you don’t mind hunkering down.

Whipsnade Zoo; Lockers

Unfortunately, Whipsnade Zoo does not provide on-site lockers.  This leaves you with the options of either carrying your picnic around with you or storing it in the car.  Whilst neither option is particularly appealing, (Whipsnade Zoo is set within 600 acres of parkland), it does keep the costs down for a day out at the zoo.  Consider investing in a small bag on wheels to reduce your load.
