Whipsnade Zoo works in conjunction with London Zoo to offer a range of cheap ticket options to these popular animal experiences, (more details below).

1. Whipsnade Zoo from £28.50pp

Whipsnade Zoo have a range of ticket options available from just £28.50 an adult/£19.90 a child, (3-15 years) when you book online in advance. Prices vary depending upon whether you are visiting at the the weekend or during the week with discounts available for children, seniors (65+), students & customers with disabilities. Visitors with a registered disability are entitled to bring an essential carer into the zoo for free.  Worth noting that, during the online booking process, you have the option to add a donation to your transaction – simple add or ignore, the choice is yours.

2. Whipsnade Zoo; 50% off Promotion, (travel by train)

Those travelling by train can take advantage of a 50% off promotion for Whipsnade Zoo that offers value for money.  Guests must provide a printed paper voucher to take advantage of this offer and present with valid train tickets on the day of your visit.  Stipulated ticket prices are in place with this promotion with more information available at Days Out Guide – Travel By Train Promotion.

3. Whipsnade Zoo; Universal Credit Tickets from £3pp

Low income families can pick up tickets to Whipsnade Zoo from just £3pp. This discounted ticket offer is only available to those on select benefits where households can book tickets for up to 6 people per household.  You must book in advance with this offer, (it is not available at the gate), where you will need to provide documentation on the gate.   More information available at Whipsnade Zoo – Universal Credit Tickets.

4. Whipsnade Zoo; Blue Peter Badgeholders

Valid Blue Peter Badgeholders can pick up FREE entry to Whipsnade Zoo when accompanied by a full paying adult. To gain free entry, each child, (5-15 years) must have a badge & a valid badge card and be accompanied by a full paying adult.  This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other concessionary entrance offer and one full paying adult will be required for each qualifying child. 5. Whipsnade Zoo; FREE Return Visit

Whipsnade Zoo run a Weather Buster Guarantee that offers you a FREE return visit should the weather hamper your day out.  To take advantage of this offer, there must be 90 minutes of continuous rain or substantial high winds during Zoo opening hours on the day of your visit and you must  have purchased booked tickets through Whipsnade Zoo.  You can then re-visit within the following 2 months for free; simply keep your original tickets safe and present for your return visit alongside photographic ID for the lead booker. Qualifying dates for the Weather Buster Guarantee will be posted online.

6. Zoo Membership

Zoo membership can offer value for money for those planning to visit a number of times throughout the year. Membership provides you with 12 months entry to both Whipsnade Zoo & London Zoo where you can even upgrade your day ticket within 14 days of your initial visit & only pay the difference .  Gold membership comes with a host of additional perks that are worth looking out for including parking perks & discounts on retail and food outlets.  Silver membership provides free entry to both attractions at a cheaper price but without any perks.

7. Whipsnade Zoo & Voluntary Donations

If you are booking online directly with Whipsnade Zoo, then it is worth noting that you will see that there are options to add a small donation to your entry fee for conservation work. Should you prefer, simply select the ‘without donation’ option to your basket or at the gate. Whilst this donation does go towards vital conservation work, ultimately the choice is yours to make.

Set within extensive grounds Whipsnade Zoo is a popular attraction for adults & children alike with the added advantage of being able to take you car into the setting!  Follow our guide below to help you get the most from your day out at the zoo.

1. That’s The Ticket; there are plenty of ways & means to bring the entrance charges down at Whipsnade.  From online ticket offers to 50% off promotions, there are plenty of savings to be had with more details available at Whipsnade Zoo Deals.

2. Parking; make use of the FREE external car park or take your car into the zoo which can be particularly beneficial for those with mobility difficulties.

3. Pack Your Lunch; great to see that picnics are welcome at Whipsnade Zoo which offer great savings on a day out.

4. Take The Bus; make use of the FREE hop on/hop off bus that runs regularly throughout the setting.  Whipsnade is set within 600 acres of parkland making it a large attraction to explore by foot so worth taking advantage of this free method of transport & save your legs & money.

5. Membership; take advantage of joint Whipsnade & London Zoo Membership that offers unlimited entry to both settings throughout the year.  Gold Membership also comes with a host of additional benefits including  parking perks.

6. Scooters; whilst bikes & roller blades are not allowed at Whipsnade Zoo, you’ll see plenty of children on their scooters.  This is a great way to help younger customers explore the zoo without any complaints about walking!

7. Let Off Steam; children will love the adventure playground and indoor play area (Hullabaloo) that offers a change  of scene.  Whilst Hullabaloo is deemed suitable for children under 10 years, it would seem best suited for younger children.

8. Itinerary; plan ahead and see what’s on as it can be worthwhile working out what you’d like to achieve during your visit.  Whipsnade Zoo is set within extensive grounds, so it’s best to the leg work up front.

9. Additional Extras; face painting & steam train rides are available at extra cost but there is plenty to see & do in the park without the need for additional extras.

10. Lookout Lodges; you can now book accommodation onsite within their Whipsnade Lookout Lodges to take advantage of out of hours tours around the zoo and includes 2 days entry to the zoo.
