Insider guide
There is plenty to see & do within this collection of ten Ironbridge Gorge Museums including the flagship visitor attraction Blists Hill Victorian Town & family friendly Enginuity. You’ll find a range of special offers running throughout the year including attractive annual passes offer something for all the family throughout the year.
Ironbridge Gorge Museums; The Pass/Pass Plus
The Ironbridge Passport scheme covers all ten visitor attractions including the family friendly Blists Hill, interactive Enginuity & the slightly unusual Tar Tunnel that all make the connection between the industrial revolution of the Victorian days & the world we live in today. Even better news is that the 1 or 2 adult family passports allow you to bring along up to 4 children for free including step children, cared-for children and even grandchildren! Both The Pass & The Pass Plus offer entry to all 10 museums throughout a 12 month period but The Pass Plus also comes with some additional perks that are worth looking out for.

Ironbridge Annual Passport Ticket; What’s Included?
The Pass includes ALL the following attractions; Blists Hill Victorian Town, Enginuity, Coalport China Museum, Jackfield Tile Museum, Museum of Iron, The Iron Bridge & Tollhouse, The Museum of The Gorge, Broseley Pipeworks & the Tar Tunnel. Whilst each attraction complements the pass offer, each setting offers a unique perspective on the industrial revolution with plenty of interactive activities to keep young minds engaged. The great advantage with this annual membership scheme is that you can combine a day trip to the more popular attractions, such as Blists Hill or Enginuity, with a shorter visit to a lesser known attraction such as the Tar Tunnel.
Blists Hill Victorian Town
Blists Hill, in particular, provides children with an interactive learning experience as you enter the bygone days of the Victorian age. Complete with costumed characters, visitors can explore the life of Victorian times complete with old fashioned fairground rides, a music hall sing-a-long, an interactive Victorian school lesson or even a ride on a horse & cart.
Check out the fish & chip shop, (cooked the old fashioned way in beef dripping), a sweet shop and don’t miss the Blists Hill bakery, (worth aiming to get to the bakery around mid-day as their supplies sell out quickly on busy days). The sing-a-long music hall takes place within the New Inn Public House at certain times during the day so worth planning this into your day out as this is a hit with all ages.
There is a free cash point in the entrance building Blists Hill; worth ensuring you have cash in your pocket before you leave for your day out as unfortunately the Victorian shops cannot take credit cards as there were no personal cards in those days!
Parking Charges at Ironbridge Gorge Museums
Whilst there is a small charge for parking, this parking ticket is valid at other Ironbridge Gorge Museums.

Could you tell me what is the cheapest option for tickets for 2 pensioners to visit all the museums in Ironbridge in 12 months.
Many thanks
Eileen Snaith
Hi Eileen, unfortunately Ironbridge Gorge Museums do not offer a senior discount on either their single-attraction tickets nor their their museum passes. The Pass secures you entry to all the Ironbridge Gorge Museums for a year and is currently priced at £37 per adult. There is also a Pass Plus currently priced at £40 an adult that also secures you discounts in all museum catering outlets/shops, fast-track entry from your second visit & priority booking plus discounts for special events. If you pay via direct debit, you can secure a further 10% off these prices, hope that helps, Liz
Not enough information for disabled and careers eg prices and if wheelchair friendly
Hi Lynn, thank you for your feedback, we do appreciate you taking to time to let us know your thoughts. Topdogdays is independent of Ironbridge Gorge Museums and primarily about providing our readers with information about deals and discounts for visitor attractions around the UK.
I have an annual passport can I use it more than once at any of the museum I have already done 8 museums
Hi Peter, the Ironbridge Passport is valid for daytime admission to each of the 10 Ironbridge Gorge Museums for 12 months from the date of first use during normal opening hours, Liz
Can you do an annual membership just for blists hill please
Hi Alex, you can opt for a 1 day entry ticket to Blists Hill Victorian Town or an annual passport that offers unlimited entry to all 10 Irnonbridge Museums over a 12 month period, (select events not included). Unfortunately there is no annual membership option for just the Blists Hill attraction. Hope this answers your query, Liz
Good morning.
I have just signed up for parent plus child annual ticket for £25. The screen changed ever so quickly, I fear that I have purchased TWO tickets at £50, to obviously I dont want. I would be very grateful if you could refund the one.
I cant seem to be able to locate my E TICKET to take along with me today, I have checked my email… all thats there is the news letter.
My lad is very excited on visiting there asap, i do hope you can sort this very soon.
Thank you.
Claire
Hi Claire, sorry to hear you are having trouble. We at topdogdays are independent of Ironbridge Gorge Museums, (we simply let you know where the deals & discounts are for top visitor attractions), so you would be best contacting Ironbridge Gorge Museums directly with your query. I hope it all works out, Liz
My husband and i are coming to Ironbridge first 2 weeks in august. I am registered disabled and my husband is my carer we re both over 60. I understand we can get a discount but dont know the cost or how to apply. We would be greatfull for any information. Thank you .
Hi Elaine, visitors with disabilities plus one carer are offered 50% off single site entry, (should you wish to enter just one Ironbridge Gorge attraction) or 50% off individual passport tickets, (excludes family passports).
Could you tell me cost of passport ticket for us. Do i pay on day or can i book in advance. Thank you
Hi Elaine, an individual annual Ironbridge Gorge passport is priced at £25pp or £15pp a child/student and available to purchase on the day. There are further discounts available on family tickets & seniors plus online discounts if you book online in advance.
hi we are thinking of visiting in august. i am trying to work out the best price for two adults and two children. we would like to visit as many of the museums as possible. if i was to buy the free child passport would this allow all four of us access to all ten museums without having to pay any other entry fees?? hope you can help.
regards anna.
Hi Anna, thanks for your query regarding Ironbridge Museums. The free child passport works best when purchased for a party of 1 adult & 1 child as this free offer is only available when bought in conjunction with a full price single adult passport. Worth looking out for the 2 adult family Ironbridge passport that is currently priced at £68 that offers entry for 2 adults and all your children, (under 16’s) that offers 1 visit at all 10 Ironbridge Museums including Blists Hill Victorian Town & Enginuity that are both popular attractions for children.
Although my wife and I have both lived in the midlands all our lives we have never visited the Victorian Town and so thought I would check the cost of tickets. If the price for pensioners was £7.50 we would have made a day of it tomorrow however £25 for the two of us plus buying meals and drinks makes it an expensive day out and so something we unfortunately will have to miss.
Hi, that’s sad to hear – one to consider maybe the annual passport that is currently priced at £21.50 per person over the age of 60 years as this offers entry to all 10 Ironbridge Gorge museums, (including Blists Hill Victorian Town) over a full 12 months period. If you can visit a number of times during the year, you may find this more value for money. All the best, Liz
Was going to come to Bliss Hill with two other relatives from Kent.
Our time is limited for the stay and so is our money.
So we will have to give it a miss when we come to the West Midlands.
Hi John, that’s a shame you can’t squeeze in a brief trip to Blists Hill into your itinerary as it is such a lovely place to visit. I’m not sure if you are aware that you can simply purchase tickets for Blists Hill Victorian Town only rather than the Ironbridge Passport, (that offers entry to 10 Ironbridge museums) with discounts available for those over 60 years. Other cheap ticket options including redeeming Tesco clubcard vouchers for tokens, picking up free entry under the National Art Pass scheme or securing discounted entry with English Heritage membership if any of these apply to you? Have a lovely stay on the West Midland, Liz
