Whilst you might be looking Cheap Tickets for Thorpe Park this season, have a thought for what’s coming ahead with plans afoot for a NEW coaster in 2024. Aptly named “Project Exodus” this planned new coaster for Thorpe Park is being billed as the tallest rollercoaster in the UK! Coming in at a height of 236ft, this new coaster would beat the previous record holder set by The Big One at Blackpool Pleasure Beach.
Reported by our friends at Theme Park Tourist the final planning application has now been submitted and, if granted, would be a great addition to the park. As the last main addition to the park was The Swarm back in 2012, a new coaster at Thorpe Park would be a welcome asset to this popular Merlin theme park.
Set to housed within the former grounds of Loggers Leap, it will involve the removal of existing rides and replaced with the new coaster that will also encompass a refreshments outlet and photo shop. Thorpe Park have commented that “visitors will be transported from the station structure around a new track over water in an exhilarating experience”
