We’d been hearing a lot about this offer & thought it was time to check it out.  Our verdict was ….it’s as good as it sounds!

The great advantage with this deal is that you load your expenditure up front, whilst managing to combine a budget break away with something for everyone plus a bit of luxury on the side.

Drayton Manor; a great all rounder theme park with thrill rides to Thomas Land for younger guests. This ‘something for everyone’ theme park works well as part of this Stay Play Explore package

Twinlakes & Wheelgate Parks offers a younger family theme park experience.  Whilst it doesn’t have the high end thrill rides, there are a good selection of family rides, farmyard experiences & the added bonus of fewer queues.

Theme Parks Short Break; Drayton Manor

We opted for Drayton Manor on the first day & simply presented our Stay Play Explore ticket at the ticket booth to gain entry to the park, (parking charges are in addition to your Stay Play Explore ticket).

I do have a soft spot from Drayton Manor as it covers the full spectrum of theme park attractions from Thomas Land for pre-schoolers through to extreme thrill rides for serious thrill seekers with everything else in between.

When you consider the individual costs for the component parts of the deal, (hotel accommodation, breakfast buffet plus tickets to Drayton Manor plus 1 other Theme Park), you begin to understand the savings you can make.

Theme Parks Short Break; Twinlakes

Twin Lakes is set in the heart of Leicestershire & offers a family theme park experience.  Whilst this attraction centres more upon the younger Theme Park customer, older children will still enjoy a selection of rides, zip wires & slides.

The two 13 year olds who accompanied us on our weekend away certainly enjoyed feeding the lambs & water rides and were scared witless in the Farmhouse of Fear!  Little ones will enjoy the new splash zone, (don’t forget the swim suits & towels).

Further Details of the Theme Parks Short Break Package

1. The standard Theme Parks Short Break Package relates to 2 adults & 2 children, (up to the age of 16 years) & offers an overnight stay plus entrance to Drayton Manor & Twinlakes/Wheelgate Park all in for £159.

2. This package is also available for 1 adult & 3 children, (up to the age of 16 years) for the same price.

3. You can add a further child to this Theme Parks Short Break Package for an additional charge with a maximum of 5 people staying within 1 hotel room.

4. Larger sized families can also take advantage of this deal but will need to purchase further room, (maximum 5 people per room).

5. If you prefer to visit only one of the attractions during your overnight stay, you can return later in the year for the subsequent visit.  Worth just taking note of the expiry date on your ticket.
