The NEW coaster for Blackpool Pleasure Beach known commonly as ‘Construction 2018’ takes a step into the digital age with the recent release of preview material. This £16.5 million project will provide guests with the UK’s first ever double-launch coaster and is set to open at Blackpool Pleasure Beach in spring 2018.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach Construction 2018; A Virtual Tour
Blackpool Pleasure Beach have recently released this preview material offering you a virtual tour of Construction 2018. For those not willing to wait until launch date, here’s a chance to take a sneaky preview of what’s in store from this latest coaster. This preview initially outlines the new 16 seat coaster & route before moving towards a virtual tour of the experience.
At a cost of £16.25m to build, this NEW ride for Blackpool Pleasure Beach comes with advance technology giving the coaster two powerful thrusts of acceleration. This double launch propels riders at high speed both at the start of the ride as well as a second point half way through the experience for the UK’s first ever double-launch coaster. Boasting of an initial acceleration 4 times that experienced in a Lamborghini Gallardo, construction of this new ride will reach heights of 88.5ft & drops of up to 82ft!
To be manufactured by Mack Rides, Construction 2018 will feature a ground breaking 15 interactions involving 5 different rides PLUS 2 tunnels! The two and a half minute ride experience will interact with five other Blackpool Pleasure Beach rides including the Big One, Steeplechase & Big Dipper.
