Free Entry to Alton Towers with a Blue Peter Badge
May 25th, 2012Alton Towers & Blue Peter Badgeholders
Whilst the Blue Peter badge free entry offer remains in place for 170+ visitor attractions around the UK, unfortunately Alton Towers is no longing participating in this scheme. This new policy came into effect from 1 January 2017 and runs across the full range of Merlin Attractions. You can find out more details over at Important Changes for Blue Peter Badgeholders.

Me and my friends are planning on going Alton Towers in half term but they’re all using 2 for 1 vouchers, will I be able to use my blue peter badge to get in free or not?
Hi Vicky, to gain free entry with a Blue Peter badge to Alton Towers you must be accompanied by a full paying adult so unfortunately you cannot use a 2 for 1 voucher & a Blue Peter badge together.
That is no fair😡😱😨😰😭😵
Hi Lucia, I have to agree that it is such a shame that you can no longer pick up free entry to Alton Towers with a Blue Peter badge as Merlin Attractions, (Thorpe Park, Chessington, Sea Life etc), pulled out of this promotion earlier this year. Unfortunately we are not involved in the running of this offer, (otherwise we’d re-instate it!) but you can find plenty of other 2 for 1 vouchers that work in a similar way to this Blue Peter badge as remember with a Blue Peter badge you must be accompanied by a full paying adult. More details can be found at Alton Towers Deals.
Does the full paying adult accompanying the badge holder have to pay the gate price or can they pay online?
Maryam, the Blue Peter badge site states..’Badge Attractions will admit one badge winner (with a badge and badge winners card) when accompanied by a full paying adult.’ My understanding of this would be that you would need to purchase a ticket at the gate on the day of your visit to Alton Towers. As online tickets to Alton Towers come with a discount, this will not be valid to secure free entrance for the blue peter badge holder.
