Day 2 of Avenue Verte; London Eye to Notre Dame and things are not going quite to plan!
We, in our wisdom, opted to divert off the Avenue Verte in order to shave a few miles off the route. However one exceptionally steep climb later, (known locally as ‘The Wall’…..need I say more), and I’m beginning to doubt the route master.

However, it’s only later as we find ourselves on a track surely meant only for strenuous walkers, that the penny drops. We detach our trailers from the bikes & literally carry our belongings up the rocky steps & over the stile…..perhaps the Avenue Verte people do actually know the best route.
