Musee d’Orsay

The Musee D’Orsay is my favourite place in Paris as much for the architecture as it is for the paintings…plus a cafe I’ll never forget!

From Monet to van Gogh to Cezanne, there is plenty to entertain at this popular art gallery housed in the former Gare d’Orsay on the Left Bank.

Top Tip; if you are planning to spend a few days in Paris, it could be worth investing in a Paris Museum Pass that includes entry to Musee d’Orsay.

Cheap Tickets to the Musee d’Orsay

1. Paris Museum Pass;  Musee d’Orsay, The Louvre & the Arc de Triomphe are all covered under the Paris Museum Pass, that can offer discounted entry to over 55 top Paris attractions.

We’ve put together a few Top Tips to Gain Best Value with a Paris Museum Pass too.

2. Late Entrance Discounts; Musee d’Orsay is open late each Thursday evening & you can pick up reduced priced tickets from 6pm onwards.  With the museum open until 9.45pm each Thursday evening, you’ll have ample time to wander and may even beat the queues too.

The Musee d’Orsay also offers discounted late entry tickets from 4.30pm each Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday with the museum open until 6pm on these days.

3. Combined Tickets for Musee d’Orsay & Musee de l’Orangerie; for Monet fans, it’s worth investing in a combined ticket for Musee d’Orsay & Musee de l’Orangerie.  This gives you 1 discounted entry to both art galleries but must be used within four days of purchase so take account of opening days for each setting.

1. If you are planning to visit a number of Paris visitor attractions including Musee d’Orsay, the Louvre & the Arc de Triomphe, consider a Paris Mueum Pass that can offer discounted entry plus FREE transport to boot!
