Insider’s Guide to Disneyland Paris
Once you’ve discovered the best Disneyland Paris Deals & Discounts for both tickets & short breaks, then it’s time to plan your visit. Follow our money saving ideas below to help you pack more into your trip away.
1. Disneyland Paris; Extra Magic Time
Extra Magic Time offers additional early access to select rides & attractions BEFORE the park opens to the public. This is a great way to get a few of the most popular rides under your belt before the queues begin to build at the park plus take advantage of exclusive character interactions with a range of Disney characters. Extra Magic Time is available to guests staying at Disney Onsite Hotels or specific annual pass holders. More information available at Extra Magic Time at Disneyland Paris.
2. Disneyland Paris; Disney Premier Access
Disneyland Premier Access offers you fastrack access to select popular attractions at the park via a dedicated fast lane. With limited availability this additional cost perk is available on the following rides; Big Thunder Mountain, Peter Pan’s Flight, Ratatouille: The Adventure, Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast, Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain, Star Tours: The Adventures continue, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Autopia
3. Disneyland Paris; Single Rider Queues
A Single Rider Queue is a FREE method to shorten your queue time by allowing individual riders to use up available space on a ride carriage. This gives you quicker access to the rides if you are willing to slot into single gaps but does mean you won’t experience the the thrill of the ride with your friends!
Single riders are currently available on Star Wars: Hyperspace Mountain, Crush Coaster, Ratatouille, RC Racer & Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop all within the Walt Disney Studios.
4. Disneyland Paris; Early Bird
The car park & ticket booths open significantly earlier than the general opening times at the Disneyland parks. To get the most from your day, we would suggest arriving around 45 minutes before the general opening times to give yourself enough time to park & purchase tickets prior to the park opening. As with many other popular theme parks, the first 60/90 minutes of the day will carry the lightest queues.

5. Disneyland Paris; Back to Front
It can be worth heading directly to the back of the park to get a few of the more popular rides under your belt early in the day. This allows you to buck the trend by working forwards within the park as many guests tend to stop at the first ride that appeals to them. This gives you a chance to get ahead of the worst of the queues particularly when used in conjunction with the free FASTPASS system.
6. Disneyland Paris; Parade Times
For those less interested in the Disneyland parades, you can use this time to your advantage by accessing popular rides & attractions. We’ve found that guests tend to start leaving the ride areas about 30 minutes prior to the events, (in order to find a good spot on the parade route), leaving queue times significantly shorter.
7. Disneyland Paris; Go Go Go!
Plan you visit to Disneyland Paris with military precision. Understand the layout of the parks, sign up for popular apps, look out for listings of parade timings, shows and character meet & greet information so you can plan your day. Whilst you will need to allow for easy time whilst you are at the park, if you know what you realistically wish to cover in a day, you’ll have a much better chance of achieving it.
8. Disneyland Parks; Non Queue Attractions
As the park gets busy, intersperse rides with large non-queue attractions that allows children to run off some steam and adults to take a well earned break. Look out for Pirates Beach, (Adventureland), Pocahontas Indian Village, (Frontierland) & Adventure Isle, (Adventureland) that all offer free play opportunities at the park. You have of course the parades & night time show to plan around too.
9. Queues Times
Look out for queue times around the park through the Information Boards dotted around the parks or access live wait times online. These provide information on standard wait times as well as FastPass timings too to help you plan your day.

There is a picnic area located between the Disney Parks car park and the entrance to the Disney Parks.

3. Disneyland Paris; FREE Water Fountains

4. Pack Your Waterproofs
The weather can be unpredictable at Disneyland Paris so always worth packing some light waterproofs to avoid costs at the park. As Disneyland is primarily an outdoor attraction, pack for the worst & hope for the best!

Hi Samina, there is a Disney Magic on Parade & Disney Dreams Show that run as part of the disney package. The Disney Dream show is an evening show that tends to run towards the end of the day. Disney Magic on Parade is an earlier show….all are subject to change or cancellation subject to weather conditions. I can see that on 28 December 2013, the Disneyland Park will be closing at 10pm, (Walt Disney Studio at 7pm).
