The Swadlincote Ski & Snowboard Centre offers a range of outdoor activities to suit all the family with prices that will suit your pocket. Located within Derbyshire, this outdoor adventure centre provides an ideal venue for dry slope skiing, snowboarding & tubing as well as a fantastic toboggan run so we felt duty bound to check it out, (you can see our thoughts below).

Swadlincote Snow Tubing
Swadlincote Ski Centre; Sno-tubing
As part of our Stay Play Explore Break we were here to test out both the tubing & tobogganing that comes as standard with this short break package. As the centre can get busy at peak times, we’ve found it’s always best to book in advance to avoid disappointment. We opted to start with a 30 minute session of snow-tubing on the dry slope followed by the highly anticipated toboggan runs down the slope.
The sno-tubing takes place upon huge inflated rubber rings on the main dry slope. As you catapult down the slope, merrily twisting and spinning during your journey, you begin to pick up speed along the route. The great advantage with the tubing experience at Swadlincote is that you have the chance to travel down the slope together where up to 6 people at a time can link together for some family fun!

Swadlincote Tobogganing
Swadlincote Ski Centre; Tobogganning
Next it’s time to test out the separate toboggan run that snakes around this popular attraction. This 500m run packed with twists & turns along the route offers you a chance to navigate your own course. The Stay Play Explore short break package offers 30 minutes of sno-tubing and 2 toboggan runs each. This half day attraction is a hidden gem within this break that allows families a chance to spend some quality time together doing something out-of-the-ordinary!
Young children, (age 4-7 years) must be accompanied by an adult & children age 8 year & over must ride on their own. Throughout the range of adrenaline activities on offer at Swadlincote remember to wear long sleeves & trousers for added protection.
