Montparnasse Tower

Cheap ticket offers and more

Every trip to Paris surely must include a trip to the Eiffel Tower and, whilst the sight over the city is spectacular, you are of course missing this iconic attraction within your view.  The Montparnasse Tower offers an alternative view that offers  up to 40km visibility on a clear day & comes with the added benefit of being able to see Eiffel Tower within your sights.  Previously Europe’s fastest lift to the top in just 38 seconds, this record is now held by The Panoramapunkt in Berlin, it continues to offer great 360 degrees over the city.  As a lesser known attraction, the Montparnasse offers significantly reduced queues and offers a unique viewpoint of popular attractions such as the Sacre Coeur, The Louvre & the Eiffel Tower.

Standing 210 metres tall, the Montparnasse Towers offer a birds eye view over the city and complements a visit to more well known attractions such as the Eiffel Tower or Arc de Triomphe. Embracing technology, you can download the free App to identify and learn about the sights before you or make use of the VR headsets to see Paris through the years.

Montparnasse Tower Guide

1. The great advantage of the Montparnasse Tower is that you have the Eiffel Tower within your view of Paris.  Offering a new perspective over the city, visitors can enjoy the glass encased 56th floor before exploring the open roof terrace at the top of the building. Whilst the Montparnasse Tower cannot compete with the thrills of the Eiffel Tower, it does offer 360 degree views over Paris & complements visits to more well-known attractions. The queues are also significantly shorter.

2. Time your visit to the Montparnasse Tower for the best views of the city.  As the setting remains open until late, you can opt for a later visit to enjoy both day & night views over the city or take in the light show at the Eiffel Tower during the evening.

3. Take advantage of the fastrack entrance for those with pre-booked tickets with the Montparnasse Tower.

4. Offering a more interactive experience through a range of VR headsets found on the 56th floor, the Montparnasse Towers also offers a FREE App highlighting the sights before you.

5. On warmer days, chill out on the central area of the roof terrace on the 59th floor, taking in the sights before you.  Indulge in a glass of champagne or simply sit on the deck floor and enjoy the view.

6. Look out for the glass-free areas on the 59th floor to take unrestricted views over Paris.  Simply walk around the outside edge of the roof terrace where you will see small gaps between the glass barriers that are ideal for taking unobstructed images.

7. Take account of the weather both in terms of visibility, (up to 40km visibility on a clear day), and clothing as you’ll be exposed to the elements on the roof terrace.

8. The closest Metro stop is Montparnasse Bienvenue.
