Glasgow Science Centre

Glasgow Science Centre is an absolute must if you are in the area as this is one the best Science Museums I’ve visited.  With hundreds of interactive exhibits for children & adults alike, it is a full day out at this setting……I couldn’t get the kids out and we’d been in a good 5 hours!

Glasgow Science Centre; The Best Bits

1. Little Explorers

For those with younger children, you’ll want to check out the extensive area for children under the age of 7 years, packed with interactive activities, & away from the older kids.  Within Little Explorers you will find a lovely water play area &  interactive musical equipment area that goes down a treat with young families.

2. BodyWorks

Bodyworks is the latest addition to the Glasgow Science Centre and is popular with children, (and adults), of all ages.  With a range of interactive exhibits including testing your speed against the clock, viewing your own veins & using your brain to move a ball.  Fun for all the family & would you believe it…you are all learning a thing or too whilst having fun.

3. Scotland’s Largest IMAX Theatre

Whilst there is an additional charge for this, it does boast to be Scotland’s largest IMAX theatre.  If you are not sure whether this is for you, you can delay your purchase & return to a separate ticket desk later on in your day.

Glasgow Science Centre; Odds & Sods

1. There is an additional charge for parking of around £3 per vehicle.  You will need to purchase your parking token at the ticket kiosk on arrival at the Glaggow Science Centre.

2. Hats off to the staff throughout the centre….friendly, helpful and very child focused.

3. There is room on the ground floor should you wish to pack a picnic for a full day out.  Whilst there is of course a gift shop on site, great to see you can navigate children around the shop rather than having to exit through it.

4. Extensive cloakroom can be found on the ground floor where you can store buggies, coats & bags, (at your own risk), for free

A must!
