September 18th, 2023Alton Towers Scarefest has now taken place for 2023 but we’ll bring you more details as they come in for 2024.
Running on select dates during October, Alton Towers Scarefest 2023 is back so follow our cheap ticket guide including valid Alton Towers 2 for 1 vouchers promotions and offers;
1. Alton Towers Scarefest Tickets 2023
Save when you book in advance with Alton Towers Scarefest entry tickets available from £39pp that guarantees entry to the park. Online tickets also come with a great Rainy Day Guarantee that allows you a FREE return visit should the weather hamper your visit, (t&c’s apply). With savings of up to £29pp when you book online, it’s worth booking in advance to ensure best value whilst guaranteeing entry. There are additional charges in place for select Scare Attractions so you’ve the option to upgrade to include a 4 scare attraction ticket for an additional £34pp.

2. Alton Tower Scarefest; 2 for 1 Vouchers
There are plenty of valid 2 for 1 vouchers available for use at Alton Towers but there are limits of ticket allocations that are worth checking out. Do remember that vouchers should be redeemed in advance to ensure eligibility;
Kellogg’s 2 for 1 Voucher; 13, 16-19 October are deemed Peak with a minimum allocation of 590 promotional tickets available each day. All other Scarefest dates deemed Super Peak with a minimum allocation of 220 promotional tickets available each day.
Carex 2 for 1 Voucher; 13, 16-19 October dates are deemed Peak with a minimum allocation of 85 promotional tickets available each day. All other Scarefest dates deemed Super Peak with a minimum allocation of just 25 promotional tickets available each day.
Seabrook Crisps 2 for 1 Voucher; 13, 16-19 October are deemed Peak with a minimum allocation of 115 promotional tickets available each day. All other Scarefest dates deemed Super Peak with a minimum allocation of just 40 promotional tickets each day.
YAZOO 2 for 1 Voucher; 13, 16-19 October are deemed Peak with a minimum allocation of 135 promotional tickets available each day. All other Scarefest dates deemed Super Peak with a minimum allocation of just 60 promotional tickets each day.
Cadbury Big Ticket Savings; 13, 16-19 October 2023 are deemed Peak with a minimum allocation of 120 promotional tickets available each day. 7-8, 14-15 & 20 – 31 October are deemed Super Peak with a minimum allocation of just 40 promotional tickets each day.
Radnor Splash Voucher; 13, 16-19 October 2023 are deemed Peak with a minimum allocation of 10 promotional tickets available each day. 20 – 31 October are deemed Super Peak with a minimum allocation of just 6 promotional tickets each day.

4. Alton Towers Scarefest; Clubcard Vouchers
Clubcard vouchers can be redeemed for partner rewards during Alton Towers Scarefest, (although NOT valid 3-5 November for the fireworks). It is worth noting that there is limited availability when booking with a partner code between 21-29 October 2023 so early booking is recommended. The good news with this offer is you can top up with any payment method should you be a little short of vouchers.
5. Alton Towers Scarefest; Passholders
All existing passholder must pre-book their admission and present both their tickets and valid Pass at the turnstiles. Alton Towers states that there is an additional & separate allocation of passholder tickets from their standard online tickets but worth taking account of passholder excluded dates as follows;
Discovery Pass; NOT valid on any of the following dates; 6-8, 13-29 & 31 October 2023.
Silver Pass; NOT valid on any of the following dates; 7, 14, 21, 23-29 & 31 October 2023.
Gold Pass; NOT valid on any of the following dates; 28, 29 & 31 October 2023.
Platinum Pass; no exclusions on use.

6. Alton Towers Scarefest; 2023 Dates
Alton Towers Scarefest is running on 7 & 8 October, 13 – 31 October 2023. The rides & attractions open from 10am, (mazes open mid afternoon), for a full day of thrills packed with live horror mazes and a chance to enjoy the rides in the dark if you dare!
7. Alton Towers Scarefest; Age Restrictions
There are age restrictions in place for the horror mazes so worth looking out for these. In previous year, these have been interactive horror mazes complete with live actors and can be particularly alarming for those with a nervous disposition. If you don’t like scares, darkened rooms or enclosed spaces then this isn’t for you!
Hi, just wondering how we pay for the 2for1 ticket? Do we pay at gates or online?

Hi Craig, I can only see the multi/combi ticket available online for Alton Towers Scarefest mazes. I’m not sure if they offer single entry on the day at the park although there is a risk that they sell out? Might be worth double checking with Alton Towers as we at Topdogdays are independent of all visitor attractions,(we simply let you know where the deals can be found), Liz
i have bought tickets for the 30th will be there still be some scarefest stuff there? or do they take everything down

Hi Elizabeth, in relation to the Kellogg’s 2 for 1 voucher for Alton Towers Scarefest, the 7 & 8 October 23 are both deemed super peak dates so you can use promotional vouchers on these dates. However, worth noting that promotional tickets are limited to 220 ticket for each of these days at Alton Towers so you’ll need to book in advance to ensure availability. If these ticket allocations are already taken, then you won’t be able to use the voucher unless Alton Towers release further tickets for this promotion, Liz

Hi Katie, yes you can use the Kellogg’s 2 for 1 voucher at Alton Towers Scarefest to gain entrance, (remember the horror mazes are an additional charge and the 2 for 1 voucher is not valid for the mazes just admission).
Hi, I have looked everywhere and noticed that it doesn’t mention anywhere about having access with a Blue Peter badge. Can I use this badge for general admission and just pay for one scare maze? Thank you

Yes you can use the blue Peter badge offer at Alton Towers during Scarefest subject to capacity limitations at the park, (just get there early). You will both need to pay standard entry chargrs for the scarefest mazes as this is not covered in the 2 for 1 voucher, (just your entry into the park is covered by a 2 for 1 offer).
I have a cadbury 241 voucher can this be used for entrance to Alton towers as I would like to come up on thursday the 27th as I am travelling up from South Wales and don’t want to get hit with having to pay full price as there are 2 of us. thank you
Hi Jon, the Cadbury 2 for 1 vouchers are valid for use at Alton Towers during Scarefest. As with all 2 for 1 vouchers, they are subject to capacity limitations at the park so best getting there early to ensure entry.

Hi Helen, my understanding is that you can use the Kellogg’s Adults Go Free vouchers during the fireworks at Alton Towers. All 2 for 1 vouchers are subject to capacity limitations at the park so best to get there early:)
hello can I use the 241 voucher that is currently being printed in the sun for entrance to Alton towers park on the 30th October, I already have scare fest tickets but didn’t realise I had to pay to get into the actual park……duhh!!

Hi James, I like your thinking but unfortunately you cannot combine a 2 for 1 voucher with any other discounted ticket. 2 for 1 vouchers can only be redeemed with an accompanying person paying the full on-the-gate price ticket.
Hi. We were given free tickets when we last visited as many of the rides were shut. We’re hoping to use them tomorrow but realised it’s scarefest. Can we still use then as they state they can’t be used for ‘special events and concerts’. Thanks, Suzanne.
Hi Suzanne, within the terms & conditions of the 2 for 1 vouchers there is usually an exclusion on special events & concerts. In the case of 2 for 1 vouchers, this does not exclude Scarefest dates. However, as this is slightly different in that these are free tickets issued directly by Alton Towers, it might be wise to contact Alton Towers directly just to double check before making any firm plans.

Hi Tonia, the Kellogg’s Adults Go Free vouchers are valid at Alton Towers over scarefest and offers 1 free adult entry when accompanied by a full paying child or adult ticket on the day of entry.

Hi Jennifer, entrance to the mazes during Scarefest at Alton Towers is additional to theme park entry into the park. Alton Towers currently offer a 3 scare maze entry ticket for £20pp. The rides are of course included within your theme park ticket. Both the Kellogg’s Adults Go Free vouchers & Birds Eye voucher are valid during Scarefest but are subject to capacity limitations & do not guarantee entry. Best to arrive early if you are looking to use a valid 2 for 1 voucher.

Hi Mark, full price on-the-gate tickets are just over £50pp, (12 years plus). Child full price tickets (4-11 years), are only slightly reduced at around £45pp. Children under 4 years are free of charge. Enjoy your day:)
Hey I am going to use the 241 fri 31st just wondering because we have to use voucher there an can’t use it online doesn’t it cost more for the one ticket anyway so it’ll be 69 pounds and since we have to buy scare maze an tower of terror on top which is 15 pound each don’t that work out the same as buying two tickets on the actual Alton towers website would appreciate the help thanks.
Hi Alisha, yes you are right – if you use a 2 for 1 voucher you do have to pay the more expensive price ticket, (the on-the-gate price) & cannot take advantage of online discounts. Your 2 for 1 voucher cannot be used for the additional cost of the maze tickets:(

Hi Mary, yes you can use half price vouchers from promotional single packs of Walkers Crisps at Alton Towers over the scarefest period. When they say they cannot be used with any other promotion they mean you cannot use this voucher in conjunction with any other offer, discount or online ticket concession.

Hi Sameena, yes you can use the Half Price Proctor & Gamble voucher at Alton Towers during Scarefest. Within the terms & conditions it states that ‘HALF PRICE ADULT ENTRIES to Alton Towers Theme Park depending on the pack bought (Saving of £24.60 on full value ticket of £49.20 per half price ticket entry).’ Simply take the voucher with you on the day of your visit and redeem at the ticket booths.

Hi Nigel, yes Blue Peter Badge Holders can pick up free entry to Alton Towers up to 7 November 2014 for this season. Badge Holders will need to present both the Blue Peter Badge & Badge Winner’s Card at the ticket booths on the day of your visit and must be accompanied by a ‘ticket-bearing adult’ to secure free entry.

Hi Andrew, in the terms & conditions for this 2 for 1 pizza offer, it simply states that ‘Voucher is valid to 01.06.15 excluding special events and concerts’. Scarefest is not usually deemed a ‘special event’ so should be fine:)

Hi Myself and my partner are planning on spending Saturday 18th October at Alton towers, We have a “adult free with every paying adult” coupon from a cereal box. When we decided to go to Alton towers we did not relies that it was the Scare fest time. I have looked on the coupon and all its said’s is that the coupon cannot be used with any other offer and that it is valid until June 2015. I’m guessing that we will still be able to use it but I would just like to clarify this so we don’t get a nasty shock when we pay. 🙂
Hi Daisy, yes Scarefest will be underway at Alton Towers on the 18 October, (in fact the day of your visit is the first day of Scarefest). You might want to take note that, in previous years, Scarefest has been the amongst the most popular few weeks of the theme park season so it is likely to be busy. In terms of your voucher, I am assuming this is a Kelloggs Grown Ups Go Free voucher that offers 1 free adult entry when accompanied by a full on-the-gate price ticket for a child or adult? Yes, this voucher is valid on 18 October:)
I have a tesco 241 entry that I want to use on 1st Nov for scattered! It has no date restrictions for this day but does say cannot be used at special events. Can I use it? Tried using the web address to find terms but doesn’t like to a page.
Emma, the only terms & conditions for the 2 for 1 Tesco voucher that I can see states that the voucher is valid at Alton Towers until 8 November 2013. Generally ‘special events’ tends to relate to firework nights, concerts etc rather than Scarefest dates.
I have a load of 2-4-1 tickets for Alton Towers and were planning to go on Sunday for Scarefest – can i use these tickets? or are they not accepted as it says on the back that these cannot be used for special events?

Shauna, each 2 for 1 voucher for Alton Towers has different terms & conditions so I can’t generalise as to whether your vouchers will be valid on the day you wish to visit. Check the terms & conditions on the voucher for any dates that are excluded. Often they give you a website address for full terms & conditions so worth checking that too. Usually special events relate to concerts, corporate days etc and unless the voucher specifies that it is not valid during Scarefest or particular dates during Scarefest, you should be fine.
