2 for 1 Vouchers for Merlin Attractions 2016
There are plenty of 2 for 1 vouchers including Adults/Kids Go Free vouchers that are valid at a range of Merlin Attractions including Warwick Castle, LEGOLAND Windsor, London Eye, Thorpe Park, Chessington World of Adventures, Sea Life Centres, Alton Towers & Madame Tussauds. The great advantage with 2 for 1’s is that they offer discounted entry but as they cannot be used in conjunction with tickets purchased online, these savings may not be as substantial as first thought.
Follow our guide below on 2 for 1 vouchers for a range of Merlin Attractions that are available for use during 2016.
How Do 2 for 1 Vouchers Work?
In general terms, each voucher offers 1 person free entry into participating Merlin Attractions when accompanied by a full paying person. Vouchers cannot be used in conjunction with online promotions so you CANNOT purchase a discounted ticket online & then use a 2 for 1 voucher on the day, (plenty have asked but unfortunately this won’t work).
Do 2 for 1 Vouchers Offer The Best Deal?
2 for 1 vouchers don’t necessarily give you the best deal particularly when you take account of secondary perks such as early ride time or rainy day guarantees. Often by simply booking online you can pick up substantial discounts off standard ticket prices plus the option to avoid the ticket booth queue;
The London Eye; save up to 20% off standard price tickets plus bypass the ticket desk queues.
Sea Life Centres; savings of up to 40% when you book online plus timed ticket entry too, (select locations).
Warwick Castle; online savings of up to 30% plus a rainy day guarantee & 2nd day tickets from £1pp.
We’ve put together a list of current 2 for 1 vouchers and half price offers below that are valid for use during 2016 at a range of Merlin Attractions.
1. Kellogg’s Cereals; Free Adults Entry Voucher for Alton Towers, Thorpe Park, Chessington & other Merlin Attractions.
Kellogg’s ran an Adults Go Free voucher on promotional packs of cereals & breakfast bars during 2015 that offered 1 adult free entry when accompanied by a separate full paying child or adult. Whilst it is now more difficult, (but not impossible), to come across these promotional items in the shops, the vouchers remain valid at a number of attractions until 30 June 2016 for those that kept a few back.
Look out for promotional packets of Kellogg’s cereals, (Crunch Nut, Rice Krispies, Frosties, Fruit & Fibre, Raison Wheats, Fruit Loops, Variety Packs), or promotional breakfast bars such as Nutri-Grain, Pop Tarts, Squares & Fruit Winders.
Top Tip; for current cheap tickets options for the London Eye follow our Guide to the London Eye including top tips to beat the queues.
2. Travel By Train for 2 for 1 Vouchers
Travel by train on the day of your visit and you can download 2 for 1 vouchers for many of the Merlin Attractions, (subject to terms & conditions). You will need to download a 2 for 1 voucher before your visit and present with valid train tickets on the day of your visit. Worth keeping an eye out for exclusion dates with this offer and ensure your tickets are valid with this offer.

Theme Park Combination Packages
Another way to reduce theme park ticket costs is to explore combined accommodation & theme park ticket package that can offer substantial discounts. Packages tend to offer a FREE second day at the theme park of your choice and can often be used in conjunction with Kids Go Free offers that run at select times of the year.
LEGOLAND Holidays; includes 2 days theme park tickets & early access to the park if staying on-site.
Alton Towers Holidays; second day free, early ride time & access to the Waterpark & Spa, (additional charge).
Thorpe Breaks; on-site accommodation including early access into the park to beat the queues.
Details on more 2 for 1 vouchers can be found below but remember each 2 for 1 voucher has slightly different terms & conditions including exclusion dates, so always worth checking the small print BEFORE planning your trip.
Birds Eye Kids Go Free Vouchers
Birds Eye ran a Kids Go Free offer on promotional items of frozen food during 2015. Again whilst stocks are scarce it is still possible to come across a limited range of these vouchers in stores. Vouchers ran on promotion packs of Birds Eye frozen peas, potato waffles, fish fingers, chicken dippers & beef burgers.
If you managed to stock up last year, you’ll be glad to hear that voucher remain valid at select Merlin Attractions until 31 December 2016, (restrictions on use apply). This offers 1 FREE child entry when accompanied by a full paying adult and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.
We’ll bring you more details on 2 for 1 vouchers for 2016 as they come in.
