This has now expired for 2014 but we’ll bring you more information for Open Farm Sunday 2015 as details emerge.

Open Farm Sunday 2014 will see hundreds of farms open their doors offering you the chance to get up close & personal down on the farm.

Did you know that a recent study found that 1 in 3 children have never heard a cow moo, (except on a computer or TV).  These figures have been released by LEAF, (Linking Environment & Farming), ahead of this year’s Open Farm Sunday taking place on Sunday 8 June 2014.

Here’s your chance to head down to the a farm and & hopefully hear that cow moo!

Open Farm Sunday has been running since 2006 striving to give people a greater understanding of how their food is produced and the countryside around them is cared for.

Open_Farm_SundayHundreds of British farms take part in Open Farm Sunday, each providing their own unique range of activities that may include;

  • A tour around the farm.
  • Pond dipping.
  • Tractor & trailer rides.
  • Sheep shearing.
  • Meeting the farmer.
  • Mini farmers market & more.

For the majority of participating farms,  Open Farm Sunday is a FREE event although some may charge a small amount, (between £1-£5).
